Any ideas how to solo Skeletron besides the roof fighthing tactic?

400 HP + meteorite armor + blue ball on the chain (I don't know the name, watch Pbat's LP, a developer has it) = dead skeletron.

I think currently shadow orbs only hand out muskets and light orbs.

Just one need the helmet now for a full set of meteorite.

BTW, did someone climbed up to a Floating Island?

Or any specifications about the height? I'm gonna build a tower and I would like to know how much of height is needed to guarantee being on height of floating island

Found one at 550 feet above sea level, it had the lucky falling horseshoe in a chest (as well as a crapload of gold ore and a building made of copper and silver blocks).

As for Skeletron, my tactic was Rocket boots, lots of potions, and a Flamarang. Went down easy enough.

    Warning to those who downloaded the 0770/0881 builds that has been around.

    If you tried to run the 0.8.8.1 you now got a keylogger trojan/virus. Don't feel safe just because you have an antivirus because this one sails past several I tried with. NOD32 and Avast! didn't notice at all. Panda saw some activity but didn't block it.

    Check your TEMP folder (easy way: start/run and type %temp% and it will open) for the file dclogs.sys wich will contain the stolen data. It will be created whenever you type in any program. If you open it in a texteditor you can see for yourself what it has collected.

    How to remove?

    Have been testing on a virtual pc now and a combination of Malwarebytes, Hitman Pro and TDSSKiller got most of it. I still needed to manually kill processes since the trojan uses/creates it's own notepad.exe and explorer.exe so kill them and re-run antimalware a few times and it should be gone.

    Got no sure way, just keep checking that the dclogs.sys don't get recreated.

All I find in my caves is dirt.  :\  I've only found a total of like... two, three chests, and the only artifact-tier stuff I've gotten outta all of 'em is like 90-something Jester Arrows.

I don't even use ranged weapons, argh.
