Wait what?
How you guys get mana?

I thought this was the gliched one with no falling stars! I wanna use my rocket boots like a boss!

Also, falling stars do work in this version, but are not nearly as abundant, and I don't believe that they work on the large maps. I found two fall next to each other on a small map, but haven't found any since.

So I need a small map for stars?
Time for a skirmish into new lands! I shall build a stone castle this time...

I'll buy this and play with other people when I'm free.  I'm never free.

The price of stardom.

There is one thing you need for the Eye of Cthulhu fight not to be a total pain in the ass, and that's Cloud in a Bottle. Without Cloud in a Bottle, you have to work 3 times as hard not to get hurt, regardless of the setup. That tower pretty much guarantees you have no where to dodge to.

I found jumping off the side onto the lookout platforms, then running through the middle, grants a great dodge pattern, all while hammering him with shrunken. Yes, I did put some thought into where to dodge, and I took the y axis into account. Run under and around...

Also, first night star hunting, and I got 10 stars. Also also, these flippers are my new best friend until I get my long awaited rocket boots. They make surviving under water a piece of cake.

Yeah... best run I've seen against the eye so far was a fellow with hermes boots and a fairly long stretch of flatland. Was able to run fast enough to dodge or just outrun the eye's charges. The cloud (or balloon! The balloon is awesome.) no doubt makes the process much simpler.

Two things: I am very looking forward to paying money for this on Monday.

Secondly, there doesn't seem to be a way to make wooden hammers.

Nope, no wooden hammers. In fact, due to the mineral dispersion, I bought my first anvil, and the first thing I made with it was a silver hammer, followed by a golden broadsword and short sword, then made a copper helm and chainmail.

Iron was some what uncommon.

The only thing that bothers me is the copper<silver<gold progression, but that's only because Dwarf Fortress has hammered me with realistic weapon materials from day 1.

Yea, it has annoyed me a little.
Gold is a soft metal! If you think a golden sword is good, you have another thing coming!

If the guide moves into a house that i made for the merchant, can the merchant still move in to the house?

Only 1 NPC to a house, I believe.

Well, only one to a room, but wooden platforms do not separate rooms.

Hmm. It seems on my version falling stars dont work. This saddens me greatly. Maybe I should try a different sized world.
