I was wondering if you had any quesOH GOD YOU'RE A CLOWN

Genned a world, made an adventurer, went to the keep to get me a posse so the bogeymen don't rip me a apart, dropped in to say hi to the lord...


Oh gos what do I do. I am not as easily duped as the humans.. should I kill him? Would that make me evil? Even though he's... you know. Afflicted?

Don't kill him. The law-giver of the human civ I am questing for is a demon, and he just gave me a quest. Laugh at the poor manipulatable humans and ignore the demon. Try recruiting him every once in a while.

Come back and kill him when you're legendary in dodging, shield or armour and a weapon.

And bring your full quota of NPCs with you. Make about a third of them archers/crossbowmen who can keep plinking him for the entire duration of the fight, and the rest axemen or hammermen (depending on whether he's squishy or bulletproof). The guys with melee weapons will probably all die horribly, but it doesn't matter because they're basically just there to be meatshields and (hopefully) get in a couple of lucky hits that'll slow the demon enough for him to be managable.

They're no big deal. I had a gopher demon thingy leading my own civ once. I completed all his quests eventually and moved on.

Some of the most fun I've had in Adventure mode was leading armies to attack the goblin capital, ruled by a slate-grey demon with a 200+ kill list under his belt, from just about every single hamlet in the world... Yes, everyone died.
Then I used Dfusion, sent a peasant out there and POSESSED the demon, recruited a bunch of his soldiers and went out killing everyone, equipped all my followers with weapons and armour, then went back to the fortress and retired. :D

And if they are from another civ, they are probably at peace with this one so they won't help anyway. So the best choice is NO meatshields.

I once found a goblin in control of human castle... he attacked me once i entered his chamber and i was forced to kill him whitch made rest of the fortress attack me... i killed em all.

except spearman and hammerman who i recruited before Gobbo attacked and they didnt get angry at me

Actually possible. Gen a world with a specific number of demon types, export them in DFWorldTinker, change all the names, import back :P
