I can confirm that you can indeed get repeats of god gifts. You're allowed to get another god pet, but I forget what they replace the jewel and weapon with. I think a treasure map is involved somewhere.

Is it me, or are potions of cure corruption waaaaaaaaay easier to come across now? I just had one drop from a freaking harvest quest. I have 7 now, and I'm not even trying to stock up on the things.

They certainly do feel pretty common. You don't even need to wait for lucky day gambling to get a pretty decent stock (it still helps though).

I feel a lot more free to hand them off to Pael now. I dunno why I even bother hoarding them; I play an Elea and I basically never take off my cloak of vindale in addition to the usual etherwind avoidance, so I only get corrupted about once or twice an in-game year.

That reminds me.  Does anyone know if mutants with multiples of the same slot will lose all of that slot type to a single ether wind mutation, such as losing three neck slots to having a thick neck.  Also, will losing slots this way remove the speed penalty for "Complicated".

If nobody knows, I'll try it out sometime soon.  I'm thinking of doing a mutant character that keeps some of the better slot removing effects, like feathers.

No I got all 3 god gifts again for jure. Same ones I got the first time. I have a hunch on this. You can do all the god gifts once per act. I think the acts reset. My reasoning for this has to do with pets cooking breakfast. I had a bell that did all my breakfast in act one. He always cooked and his cooking skill increased quickly. Finished Act 1. Started act 2. Slept and then a different pet was cooking breakfast. What happened? I had assumed that the game picked the pet with the highest cooking. This other pet even though he had really high cooking always did cooking. Sent him to town. Did a again. Another pet did breakfast and NOT the one with the high cooking. 3rd test, sent all pets to town other then the one with cooking. He made breakfast. Called pets back. Guess who cooked? The first pet who made breakfast in act.

They store the pet that cooks in a variable. After the act its cleared. Doesn't take into account cooking skill. My pet with high cooking is too valuable. So I dismissed this other pet. Sent all other pets to town got breakfast. Then my pet with high cooking cooked breakfast each time after that. In act 3, I sent pets back t town and just had my pet with high cooking with me to make sure he got breakfast.

I think the game resets each act OR it resets after Act 1 which was the original game. So acts 2 and 3 don't reset. I don't know. I did jure in act 1.

in 1.39 if your pet wins 100 straight fights in the pet arena you get 20,000 fame and each pet who is with you (need to call pet in pet shop or ranch back or they wont get it) gets 200,000 gold. My strongest pet is a bell of termination. He can't get to 200 wins. I saw on wiki atleast 1 person got to 300 straight wins. Anyone know if you get more gold at 200 and 300 straight wins? I take a bunny and suicide after win 100.

My fame is over 250k now and was 70k before. So some things of note
1. fame you get from doing quests./pet arena/dungeons goes down ALOT as fame goes up. I get 3 fame for a win in arena when i start my streak, win 100 is 15. I get 10-20 fame for quests.
2. highest quest levels so far 35$. Challenge/panic quests. These go to 15k gold. More importantly up to 10 plat. range seems to be 3-10k.
3. I get up to 5 seeds from harvest quests. I know you can delivery up to triple the required amount to get more. But I think I got 2-3 seeds at lower fame.
4. I think they lowered gold rewards for hunter quests. I think in 1.38R at 40-50k fame I got up to 20k gold for hunter quests. Now they dont go higher than 7k or so even at high fame.

I have a hunch this signals a re-write of fame. They made it really easy for pet with good pets to get tons of fame. Yet fame rewards for standard things go down to virtually nothing to make it really hard to gain fame. That doesn't make sense long term. I think they are doing a change. High fame for better jobs and plat. Only consequence now is more taxes (which dont matter at high levels) and harder bosses (which dont matter at high levels due to pet and character badassness). I believe in the original game that high fame lead to harder encounters so you had to balance it out. I would think they are going to do stuff to make high fame help and be dangerous in the future. I think its a good idea for late game play.

Weird. You'd think they wouldn't double up on the precious items, but there you go.

Regarding fame, there was definitely already some kind of diminishing returns. Quests gave around 30 fame at 50k fame, so it definitely gets tougher. How much can you get from clearing a dungeon? Do you know if a higher DL dungeon gives more? I'd guess so but it doesn't hurt to be sure.

I'm particularly interested in that extra plat for jobs. Is it just the challenge and panic jobs, or all of them? Either way, I think I'll be doing some dungeon crawling to boost my fame :P

Did a quick little test. You don't need to clear the act to reset god gift giving. I got 2 golden knights and 2 mysterious jewels of Opatos. Was too lazy to get up to Gaia Hammer again.

As far as plat... As fame goes up you get more plat. I dont remember when i started getting more than 1 plt. Might have been at 5k fame. There is randimness. Panic qnd challenge give the most plat. Probably because of high dollar numbers. Party time seem to still give one.

Did a 42$ panic. Some super high level bell of termination. The first one wiped my whole party.bately got away.

About god gifts. Looks they they changed it in general. Peope on wiki tried it a whole ago and then jordan one noticed it changed back.

There is a wiki page called powergamer thapt began from originial. He siggests doing kumiromi several times to het teasure of rejuvination. Mix that with fertilizer and a hunger demand n and you get massive herbs

Best ways to reduce grinding for potential....

Use small medals to get 2 rod of domination to get bell pets. The Hen all medals for scroll of growth bless and use. Hit dungeons. For easy ones dive for boss. Often has medals get in and out. Wish for seven league boots then all scrolls of grwoth. Do this until act 3. In act 3 you can trade sox for scrolls of growth.

For stats. Out came cooking on a pet. Go to sleep at night at quarter to midnight. Highest chance of breakfast. To get potions of potebtial. Get alchemy. Dont craft anything that's uses sap of yggdrasil. Its rare. To train. Get pot for fusion. Make fake gold out of junk items. Need 45 alchemy to get potions.

Can buy them in magic shops when invested to 150. But rare. You N house get several magic bendors. Invest them to 150 and in atleat 1 town have routine to chek alot. Shops refresh every 3 days. I put everytjing near palmia.i have like 40 potions of poptential and all mine are at superior permanently.

About fame in dungeons. You get more fame in high level dungeons, but less as fame goes up.you can get over 1000 fame for dungeons over 100.

Another tip. Get ragnarok sword. Its ffrom he who dwells in vernis. Wiki recommends killing him in party time quests the monsters spawn dont scale. So if you can beat them up nce you can always beat them. Get vindale cloak... Can be crafted with sewing. Go to high level dungeon. Clear it. Summon some monsters. Use sword. Set it off. Mobs are like level 90 dungeon, so if you are better than that it is easy. Its cyclops, ogres and dragons. So tons of heavy corpses. Scaled drops. Dragons drop alot of chests so high channces of small medals. The large number of heavy corpses makes god dwitching easy. This is a high level tip. Its alot of mobs spawned so its a dense pack of monsters to kill. Lots of drops ane the drops scale to dungeon level.

I found a very nice guide on reddit that has some good general tips: http://yy.reddit.com/r/Elona/comments/2au6a0/im_starting_over_im_writing_a_guide_here_for/

Gonna give some of these a try when I get home.

I also recommend going to this wiki and searching for powergamer. Another good guide. The elona community is small... Would be nice if we all talked in only 1 place.

Woot! With some caution and some extreme spamming of magic bolt, I survived and completed a King's Dungeon (level 50). Not bad loot either.

If I can keep this up, then perhaps I'll switch to dungeoning instead of the town quests. Both more fun and more lucrative at this stage of the game. Gotta start grinding up some AOE spells though... like, seriously.

I never got around to play with pets before but I am starting to feel that they might be required for me later on.
I'm currently level 30 and wonder if there is any pets that is worth working on with the intent to keep them rather than replacing them with higher level versions or the like.
Mostly looking to get tank pets, a flesh wall as I will play mage.
I have looked at the recommended pets list on the wiki already though, And it seems to list pets that does not need much work to excel.
But I am considering building my pets up from the ground. Perhaps I should use some of the god pets.
