Passed up on a free pet from what I know...

D:

How does that work? Enemies randomly want to join you when near death? I threw a bunch of potions at him because I was scared of it... think that affected it?

Whoever is the "Crimson Boy" Mars is currently dying in the tutorial to putits. Repeatedly.

Also, I can't seem to wish for the generic "Secret Treasure" in Elona+'s wizard mode. It's the one that gives the mutant racial feet, because not having equipment slots is starting to kill my Gunner Bacteria God with chaotic necktie alignment.

I'm also surprised no one commented on the blue and orange morality of my Wizard mode characters. (That's bacon and necktie btw.)

If you go up against the puttits with a weapon you aren't skilled with, they'll usually win with the bullshit special attacks.

haven't really understood why they thought it was a good idea. Were the players too strong? because generally its the monsters that gets to strike first, especially with the large groups that gains bs attack charge whenever one of them dies.

That silly special attack is the main reason i decided to stick with elona+ 1.9 and not go with 2.0, it's simply not adding any fun to the game to me, in the opposite it makes it less enjoyable.

The biggest problem I have with the gauge is that it fills up as they take damage, so if you drop them to low health, they kill you. Having PV  and hp seems to deal with it pretty well, but my evasion characters just can't take those since they don't miss.

Edit: I think I'm going to give in and go with 1.19. 9/10 of my deaths are to bad luck with the yellow gauge. You think you're fine and that your next hit won't bring it too high, but then your pet hits it too and you get your face bashed in for it. Taking off 60% of an enemy's health on the first hit and then finishing it off with a second hit works fine, but hitting them for 75-90% of their health in one hit insures they're going to hit you with the special move before you can kill them.

I still haven't given up yet, although it may be better for me because I'm using bows primarily.  I think it should be something that you or the AI choose to use, and takes a certain number of turns to charge, with a mechanic to counter the attack.  It'd still be dangerous, but only if the enemy was faster than you or there were a lot of them.

Actually there already is a skill like that. You have to stand still for ten turns, then if you hit something in the next five turns, super attack.

Oh, so deaths are tracked across versions as well? Because I never touched 1.20+, still in 1.19.

I'm also beginning to question if the secret treasure is still in Elona+.

I assume so, because from my quick glances it looks like the server it looks up is the same as vanilla.

Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

You could use EloSnack to give yourself the Mutant feat, if you're willing to go that route.
I'm fairly certain you could add the exact parts you wanted with it also.. I'll test that myself a little later.

Edit: You can indeed. The data you need to edit is located within cdata.s1.
Make a backup of your save folder, unequip any items you may have equipped and save the game.
Run EloSnack, load your save, and scroll down until you see "Player 0 Body Part Slot".
We'll be giving your character all of the slots available to a Yerles, so we'll be editing slots 1 through 13.

Slot 1 value: 10000
Slot 2 value: 20000
Slot 3 value: 40000
Slot 4 value: 30000
Slot 5 value: 50000
Slot 6 value: 50000
Slot 7 value: 60000
Slot 8 value: 60000
Slot 9 value: 70000
Slot 10 value: 80000
Slot 11 value: 90000
Slot 12 value: 100000
Slot 13 value: 110000

Save and test.

Well, much simpler. I wonder how I didn't hear of EloSnack before. . .

Looking at the wiki some more, Elosnack can also be used to get the various hearts more easily.

Regardless, I'm very thankful for this tidbit.

For those looking into slot values:

Slot 1 value: 10000 head
Slot 2 value: 20000 neck
Slot 3 value: 40000 back
Slot 4 value: 30000  body
Slot 5 value: 50000  hand
Slot 6 value: 50000  hand
Slot 7 value: 60000  ring
Slot 8 value: 60000  ring
Slot 9 value: 70000  arm
Slot 10 value: 80000  waist
Slot 11 value: 90000  leg
Slot 12 value: 100000  shoot
Slot 13 value: 110000  ammo

Also, on E+, AP is value 692 on the page where you can find fame and karma. Useful if you're incredibly annoyed with the astral light pen AP requirement, though if you're playing no cheats, this isn't really relevant.

Still hoping to find one shining wave artifact in order to be able to identify the value its using.
