Throw potions at it. Poison hurts them a lot because they get so many turns. Dye potions also poison. Alternatively, you could drink potions of speed and throw potions of slow/paralyze/sleep at them to cut down on the number of turns they get to heal.

Oh man.

Aside from the sucking blood part, this is a pretty good cloak, all things considered. The casting and evasion boost are nice, as is the whole disturbing growth.

I just took over the altar of Jure for Yacatect during the festival of Jure in Noyel. Apparently nobody cared. I was expecting to get horribly mauled by a townful of rabid citizens.

How does the Slave Master in Derphy work? I went there to buy slaves, but there's no option to do so, only an option to sell one. I'm wondering if it isn't because I have a horse in a ranch... Do breeders take up a companion slot?

That'll take a looong time. I started with 6 charisma and then the etherwinds gave me a second pair of eyes which decreased it by 5. I'm sitting on just 1 charisma right now.

Haven't played the game in quite a while but grabbing one with a monster ball works pretty well since they tend to be low level (you can get a few for a quest in port kapul IIRC if you don't have any).

White Putits (just called Putits in game) are level 1. You should be able to

A. Dominate them using the Domination spell OR Rods of Domination at any level, especially with the precious item Monster Heart, which is itself obtained from the quest "Mia's Dream". This adds  the putit straight to your party, and it will probably be minced if you don't protect it immediately. On the other hand, this means you won't risk losing it as an inventory item, and can simply keep it dead until you can scrounge up enough gold for a Deed of Ranch. Which are expensive.

B. Catch them with a leveled Monster Ball. To use a monster ball, you have to weaken the creature. The problem with this is that putits are so weak you will have trouble not over-killing them, unless you are ALSO level 1. There are several places to obtain monster balls, including a quest which gives you six Lvl 5 balls. The quest asks you to return five of the balls with a monster in it, so you can keep one for yourself-Just don't have it in your inventory when you give the old man his! Using a monster ball (press Shift-T, throw it at the weakened putit) will fill the monster ball, allowing you to carry the putit around-just be warned that you can drop it on death, and filled monster balls all seem to weigh ten stones in my experience.

There is something I will add.

Red Putits are slightly stronger (only slightly), so they may be easier to safely weaken, and are not as easily minced by enemies. I think they might give more CHA. Because of their slightly higher level, though, they will breed slightly slower. You see, breed power goes down as level goes up-though the upshot is that the bred creatures are sometimes stronger.

You might also try for the military putit. Compared to the Level 1 Slime Tourist (White) Putit and Level 3 Slime Red Putit, the Military Putit is a Level 6 Slime Gunner. They are also neutral, rather than hostile, so you don't have to fight it immediately. They come with their own guns, usually, and may give you trouble if you don't let other weak enemies damage it, but they have this silly little hat, and a microphone on their side. They may actually be usable companions in combat. My biggest concern, however, is figuring whether or not they still raise CHA when eaten.

I doubt the level 12 Putit tank is even edible, so I won't go over it.

Yeah, I got one while speed-running dungeons for cash, plat, and small medals.

I've also been spending hundreds of thousands on spellbooks to grind up Speed, Slow, and Silence spells after my terrible first attempt at the boss. Act1 final boss won't know what hit him. Because he won't have the turns to react.

Slow: 28 mana, level 46, 33t Decreases speed by 122.

Do only static dungeons give plats?

Edit: who's character is "White hair Light uy"?
All dungeons give some plats; usually only 2-4 or so, plus whatever you get in chests and from mobs. You will also typically get around 3 small medals, either from the boss reward or from the chests and such. Monetary rewards seem to be around 1000 * dungeon level or thereabouts. Between that and loot lying around, speedrunning dungeons is a decent way of getting stuff.

Another tip: If you get to the bottom of a dungeon and see a Shub-Niggurath surrounded by a few dozen powerful Elea, that is the ideal time to read a scroll of escape, not 5 turns later when you are insane and getting ether disease.

I've noticed that the Juere Infantry you can get form the slave master is pretty awesome. It will use melee AND ranged attacks and seems to be doing better than my starting little girl. I've got a problem though. Aside from those crappy rocks I haven't found any throwing weapons for him and I need to know if there's a way to have the pet wield a weapon and a shield in its hands and have another melee weapon in the ranged slot as a throwing weapon. I don't know if the order matters, but at some point my pet was doing inane stuff like dual-wielding weapons and seemingly throwing his shield around. Was thinking of giving him a spear as a throwing weapon since the absolute piercing chance could be handy.

Does anyone know which skills and stats come into play when throwing melee weapons? When throwing a spear, does my polearm skill have any effect on it? Does it still use dexterity like throwing weapons for it's damage since the spear usually uses endurance? Also, when using melee weapons as throwing weapons, do on-hit effects still work, like the absolute piercing on the spear(not that I even know what that does, but it sounds useful).

Does the Anatomy skill require you to kill personnally a monster in the hope of the increased chances of leaving a corpse , or can your pet kill it and still it's your anatomy skill that is checked ?

So far i have my Anatomy to 13 (only bought it late, but invested in its potential) and didn't noticed much improvement in the corpses spawned.

But in the same time i have 2 bells equipped with great machineguns in my pet army (that domination rod was not wasted on them, once well equipped with artifacts guns, they do a fantastic job) are usually killing things before i can even annihilate them with my high level magic arrows.

So from that i tend to think that either Anatomy only extremely minorly increase the chance of monster leaving corpses, or it's not mine but the pitifull low Anatomy skill of those bells that is checked on their kills.
