I got a dog.  I know little girls are better, but having a pet little girl is kind of fucked up and also dogs are man's best friend.

Granted, I'm probably gonna marry the dog, so maybe this is all relative.

Well, my little girl was 19 before the first year (she's 20 now, while I'm 24), so I think it might not be as nasty as you think in some cases.

Plus, I only use her to beat up on bad guys, not the more disturbing things like... errr, you know.

I find ten platinum to level new skills potential is generally more or less what you'll need, if you count bonuses from having a good bed which can add 10+% a night you shouldn't find an issue with the potential. Even with huge potential [150+%] it takes for-goddamn-ever to level skills at a certain point, though, so it's probably best to just save it for buying the skills and then sleeping a bunch [especially good if you get potential adding dreams!] with a good bed.

I currently have 4 pets [50 Chutzpah hooo!], each with 100+ DV/PV. Know the bad part? They still aren't helpful in 20+ level dungeons. I've been engineering them, too. There's simply got to be a better way to make allies useful mid-game, the damage-equipment types are ruining them, mostly because they keep melting my artifact equipment since they're so stupid with it.

I get to solo the Minotaur Nest now, wish me luck.
you could give them flying and acidproof their weapons...i know my pets have those and haven't had a problem...but then again the highest dungeon i've done so far is level 10 difficulty, maybe i'm being too passive...

in other interesting stuff...getting a book of harvest and having magic device over 20 will let you fill the charges of the book and possibly make lots of money(also drops ancient books, medals and plat coins)

ok, I do have a question, how can you get rid of a guild trainer who somehow appeared on the servant list?

If you talk to them there should be a "You're fired" option.

looked for that option, but it wasn't there because it was a guild trainer, although they did disapear after being there for a year, and thankfully didn't require a wage or anything like that

also...what was i thinking...book of harvest cannot be recharged, still nice to find the book

Anyone know how to instantly find NPCs that gave you a quest (looking around town several times did not work), or cancel "completed" quests? I've got an NPC in Vernis that I cannot find for the life of me whose completed quest is talking up space in my journal.

Edit: Nevermind, finally found them after digging up every sight impeding tile in the town...

Elona+
Pets with traveling, seems to help them develop fairly quickly...  the Little Girl, (one from slave market, not starter) is level 14 to my level 9.

Well, she has been my bodyguard the whole time, if it kills her, it'll kill me even faster, if I don't manage to dodge it.  Fairy Claymore, cause Claymore and small non flying critter with crappy cloth claymore killing things.  (Still working on that...)

Perhaps the Little Sister I just picked up would get up there pretty quick, low hp though... at least more then me.  She has traveling, so decent expectations there.

By "little sister" do you mean the ones you get from a Big Daddy or the ones that spawn from a diary?

Or is there another little sister in Eloplus?

Ah, sorry, its younger sister.  Though, the diary is called diary of a little sister...  my mistake.

Apparently the Little Girl and Younger Sister both have evolutions...

Elona + 1.16 is out. apparently with changes to living weapons but I cant make much sense of the changelog.
Quote
Weapons, living independent of the inscription, to choose the type of enchantment to a certain extent.
Or species with which of the enchantment of the same strain at the moment is completely random.
With absolutely no vampire, from level 11 to level 10 is added to ensure blood sucking.
The maximum level of choice or I should stop at level 10 or so plus a bloodsucking enchanted at the risk 15.
 · There are usually generated in the scroll of the name.

can anybody here read japanese and provide a better translation?

My guesses on what the changelog says, though I don't know any Japanese:

Quote
Weapons, living independent of the inscription, to choose the type of enchantment to a certain extent.
My guess: Living weapons have some control over what enchantments they get.

Quote
With absolutely no vampire, from level 11 to level 10 is added to ensure blood sucking.
My guess: If a weapon has no blood sucking, level 11 weapons always get blood sucking.

Quote
The maximum level of choice or I should stop at level 10 or so plus a bloodsucking enchanted at the risk 15.
My guess: Some sort of thing about the dev saying it adds a choice whether to continue boosting the weapon at the cost of blood sucking or keep it at its current level.

Possibly also mentions that the chance of additional bloodsucking past level 15 is increased.

Quote
· To be thrown "throwing" the furniture, junk, such as trees in the command. Well system and tool system are excluded.
Damage depends throwing skills and weight. I can not throw anything heavy weightlifting skill is low, however.
My guess: You can now throw junk (and furniture), not just potions. Damage depends on throwing skills and weight, but you cannot throw anything too heavy while your weightlifting skill is low.

Yeah. Sometimes artifacts may be living. They gain experience with you when killing enemies (but not when your pets wields them strangely), and at certain points they can level up, where you can select the enchantments. However, they may also begin getting bloodsucking, which is out of your control.
