I don't think i ever saw it before, but in elona+, occasionally when i kill something theres a chime and above my character/pet a line that dips down and then raises again appears.
what is this?

I started a new game in Elona+, and noticed after some time that my starting pet dog has skills like greater evasion and tactics. Later, I found out his class is predator. Is this a new feature, I think it was chosen randomly?

You'll need to head to South Tyris and find the AP trainer; you can only visit South Tyris after you've finished Lesimas.

Enough borrowed Chinese characters there for me to understand... Draw/Fill charge requires Magic Device 20.

They are listed in the changed list... in vanilla you only need 16.

I'm trying  to get a friend of mine into Elona, what'd you suggest as a good race/class for getting the hand of things?

I suggested a Golem, was I wrong in doing so?

Golem warrior, plenty of HP and Strength to wreck stuff, plus starts with weight lifting. It's easy to start, but in the later stages of the game the low learning/perception will start becoming more apparent. It's not insurmountable, but it is problematic.

I prefer Juere. It has some good base stats, so you'll be able to Jack of all Trades it, which is what you want to do if you're starting out.

Mmm, only ones I know of are descent potions and certain rare cursed equips that "disturbs growth". But Elona+ does have a lot of new stuff so maybe...

Is it really that massive? I didn't drink any potion of descent, and while I have multiple "disturb your growth" items I never used any. I don't feel I'm leveling too fast... I'm not even trying to control my fame (just failing the higher level party and harvest quests naturally), and I've been doing fine.

Just don't learn Traveling skill... no need to be obsessed about keeping your level as low as possible.

Yeah, I noticed the xp growth too. Wow.

Oh, and is getting mining as soon as possible and mining out your house for eternity viable.
