Lame horses breed nine times faster than hands but they are good for constitution instead. If you want to raise a different attribute I suggest horse meat.

Hrm, I avoided ranches because I thought farming monsters for permanent stat boosts was cheap, but it seems to be the only reasonably fast way to get strong enough to tackle higher level dungeons, or get my allies to stop dieing.

Huh, that's weird. When you try to interact a menu should come up. Then you have to choose "bring out" (not talk, my mistake there)

I found out this about cooking tools. It looks like Barbecue Set is the best.

Maybe speak to an innkeeper and have him summon one of your ranched animals?

Not 100% if or how that'll work. I just remember seeing some of my horses in the list when I went to revive one of my pets.

I've a hand of the dead ranched, but its breed level is something like 130. Takes forever.

Feeding them potions of descent will make it a little bit faster - the weaker it is, the faster it breeds. Use the gene machine to check its level. Hand of the Dead is already the weakest kind of hands.

You'd still want multiple ranches of hands, if you want to boost your strength fast.

When you find any potions of decent, don't give it your pets. Drink it yourself.

I have two hand ranches, two horse ranches and one putit ranch. I named the Putit 'Dragon'.

I'll try to get one more Putit ranch at least, and then more of the others.

Wow, this game... I saw the thread and it brings back nostalgia.
There aren't many games where you can play a multi-armed, six-weapon-wielding, T-Rex riding mutant and have the game still be balanced.

What's stopping someone from farming up a ton of putits for charisma, hiring 30 infantry, and owning everything?

Nothing.

I might replace my horses with putits until my CHA is high enough to get more things.

The 15 pet limit might stop you. Although there might be a mod that disables that if you REALLY wanted to.
