Mostly Ultima soundtracks are the same, with different variations/quality/style. Most of my music comes from Ultima Online which I loved to play, so it warms my heart :).

Wow! That Yowyn pic looks WAYYYYYY better than the vanilla. Very spiffy work Deon, I'm definately going to use your tileset when it is finished. ^^

This will possibly end terrible, losing its japanese charm and acquiring some western-RPG taste... But some people may like it :P.

Does anybody have the source code? We could start developing the "bay12" version of this game, which balances a ton of things in this game, and adds some more.

Too bad I don't know how to program.

Only if you're willing to learn Hot Soup Processor. It's an antiquated Japanese derivative of BASIC, with almost no properly translated docs.

As much as I like Noa, What the Science was he thinking?

There's a project to port it to java in progress though. I have a copy of the HSP source somewhere I think.

Yup, and I hope they can somehow benefit from the tiles, I mean if they find a good artist and he does a great tileset, I will be happy! But if not, I hope I will be a bit useful :P. AFAIK most of the current Elona tiles are borrowed from different games and do not blend well.

All of the stuff is from open source uhhh, sources. I don't think any of it is stolen.

Who talks about stolen? It just doesn't fit together.

This is a little something for those who can open their character.bmp and place sprites themselves:
Tiles for guys you see A LOT and which really bother me in Elona with their graphics.

Mercenary:


Guard:


The original guards are just weird and a bit distorted (and I dislike 3-pixel-high eyes). Mercenaries... Yeah, egg-headed guys in wife-beaters do not look like mercenaries to me.

If you don't know how to use these, just wait for another update: I've made new merchant sprites, as well as fixed some other sprites like cooks having moustache (while they can be any gender).
