i found the actual knife rather early. it was a singing kitchen knife and had the strength and speed bonus. then i proceeded to change the material with 12 blessed scroll of superior material untill it was diamond - it kept giving me ether and chrome. After that i used Garok's hammer, which gave it the other stats.

Hm, yeah. Diamond is a good material, but I personally prefer soul cloth or whatever its called, its like a better version of glass.

spirit cloth is nice, but blessed sup mat scrolls almost never turn them up. also: my pets have full ether equipment.

I'd say Fairy, Lich or Elf...

Elf cause it has +resist ether, 2nd best magic.
Fairy cause it has a hard-cap that keeps ya below the Light Armor limit... 2nd best magic and is naturally fast.
Lich cause it is the best magic.

what i normally do is roll a pianist with one of my gene files. they make tons of money to fuel the everlasting pyres of spellbooks.

my teleport ability got me to the border .... then 4 hits later i was dead.... i now need to search for another growth disturbing ring. well, time to go. and that ring was in it's 4th generation of my characters, too ...

ps: my current character is named "cuddles" because "Cat of Time"

I just, uh, found a minotaur on floor 3 of a level 1 dungeon. I thought Elona was fairly strict on the whole level-scaling business?
