IIRC, I think you can't dominate townie npcs with either the rod or spell. That's kinda sad, since you'd like to sell them to the slave master for their tastes in music.
Prostitutes in Derphy can be(according to the wiki), and can still sell their services(to you, or to others) when you do.

You can dominate anything you can't talk to by running into them. I believe you can dominate nobles, miners, beggars, and similar NPCs; but real townspeople like guards and citizens are off limits.

On second thought, Nobles can be dominated. Perhaps I aimed at the wrong target by accident.

So, i'm back to elona, now actualy trying to do something useful with a character rather then just messing around. So, anyone can explain me the point of keeping your level down and how to do it?

Sanity isn't a bad thing, it just keeps the record very wrongly.
You become more and more insane as you do more insane things(eat humans, mind corruption etc). It becomes more stable with eating stuff like hermit crab corpse or young sister lunch.
Oh and has anyone had any encounter with aliens? From their description, they sound very annoying(but I love the whole abortion idea)
