Well....
Read every scroll, and drink any potion you have.

This is a really horrible idea in a game where you can get things identified on demand.

As is standard in Roguelikes, most of the time you'll only have to identify something once and you'll recognise it from thereon.

Rage quit my 5th champion. This time it was due to there not being a single job I could do. All the hunting ones are impossible, I can't perform, the harvesting is impossible because there is always a bat that you need to chase to the corner of the map to kill but then you lose, and the escort missions say I have a full party and I don't know how to shorten it or that I even want to. There hasn't been a "get this item" quest for days.

Also, slimes are too powerful.

Elona is actually very kind about this.
Potions only can... (Deal fire damage, deal acid damage, send you to sleep, blind you for a little bit, confuse you or make you puke. So potions are fine. Even if you get a poison, a level 2 mage can survive that.)
Scrolls... Well, theres only curse, and you can always savescum and remove the curse.)

Micro, the "get this item" quests can be kind annoying too. You should try the delivery quests. They are merely a matter of walking to the other town and talking with the recipient of the delivery. You can also try the "poisoned" escort quest, which does not have any obligatory fights, and the escorted is actually capable of defending himself. You need to be fast to do them though.

Also, if you have tons of identical stuff, you'll usually have a huge stack and two smaller ones. Guess which stack is guaranteed not to be cursed.

Like I said I needed extra party room and couldn't get it, and the bring item quests had items I couldn't find.

Yes, but there's still the delivery quests, which the npc give you something for you to deliver to another npc in another town. If the town you're don't have any, check the surrounding towns, they might have it.

Yes, because that's really not missing the point. I suppose I may as well just equip every item I find and savescum whenever one turns out to be cursed.

Also: There are rare consumables you don't want to be wasting. I'm sure I've managed to accidentally quaff a potion of cure corruption in the past.

That's what I meant by bring quests. But I haven't checked out the surrounding town's boards yet, thx for that.

Yeah.. Let me pull up my mage character..
Oh yeah. Grenades.
But mages can be strong... You just need the right books, and repeated castings of spells.
Plus diligence. And joining the mages guild helps.

You need to be fast to do them though.

Two words. Seven-league boots. Any time you get a wish, wish for seven-league boots. All delivery/escort quests are much easier.

I have tried multiple cities and it's always different people.

I even have a full performer character. The game simply doesn't want you to win.
