Kitchen knife?

Next you'll be telling me to carry a lantern everywhere...

I sword is more easy to find. Sometimes they're delicious and edible, but then you have to worry about the crabs returning.

Well, i've never seen a diamond one. I used a bunch of blessed material scrolls though on my old file. I made sure to get a large stack before I used a water, as water can be fairly annoying to find.

Downloading it again because things wouldn't load from the desktop so I did a system restore...without backing anything up. I do believe i'm completely mad.

Invest in magic shops until you see some superior material scrolls. All of my armors are made of rubynus and all of my weapons are made of diamond ;D

Noob question: how do you even get enough money to be able to mass invest?

Performer.

/answer

If you have access to a house of any kind and a reliable source of a return spell, trading can make loads. Though you'll need enough money to get the gravy train started. Place your home next to Port Kapul and head to Noyel. Buy the trade goods in Noyel, cast return and head to Port Kapul to sell goods for maximum profit. The shops refresh every 3-5 days, and you can easily make several thousand with every trip, since you can ignore the speed loss from carrying too many trade goods. Trade shops are exempt from the shopkeeper cash limit too.

Cargo runs also do well. Quests for platinum coins too, and you'll build a small bankroll from that.

Hmm, I wonder where to perform first...

Not being a class based around performing, i'd likely be stoned to death, and I probably wouldn't survive a trip past the snowfields at this level...

Get lots of cheap lvl1 pets then. Those are useful for starting performing.

The west side of Vernis tends to have a lot of easy-to-please miners and other low-level NPCs, I'd go there first.

Also, what FunctionZero said.

i'll risk doing the puppy cave a little. Migh get lucky

Edit:Ok, I'd had to re-restrart my compy with zero backup to kill the bugs.

My new character generated some awesome names. I should've been Win Swordman!

Or maybe Weeping Retard. Does that make me a bad person?

For Performer, try going to the Mansion of Younger Sister.

The younger sister can summon other younger sisters when it attacks something, so inducing this by monster summoning or antagonizing her yourself and returning will summon a large number of level 1 NPCs to perform for.

It works very well, believe me. You can level decently fast, get a bit of nice stuff, and with the cooking skill you can stay there indefinitely! All without ANY risk of dying to rocks (at least, from my experience)!

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

The little sister shopkeeper looks exactly the same as the little sisters she summons though. Which makes it hard to locate her again if you want to buy/sell, and you can suddenly find yourself dead because she moved/got displaced by the horde to where you're performing.

Actually, I wouldn't worry about her killing you. I slept, preformed, ate, etc all while she was RIGHT NEXT to me for several DAYS. She never once hurt me.

Are you sure?

My current character started training performing late - was around level 25 when I started. I remembered the thing about little sisters, so I went there and triggered the summoning.

I went outside to play, but got interrupted by snowballs too often. So I went back inside, and I got stopped by a stone (not killed though, thanks to all the HP I got). Since then I always confirm where the vendor is before playing.

Is there anything special about this little sister vendor? AFAIK NPC reaction to your performing is based on their character level.

I'm 100% sure. I hit her an extra time, so I could see her HP bar and thus where she was, following me around like a stalker.

And this was around less than level 12 preforming.

I'm playing 1.22 with the community fix if that means anything.

I'm playing the last X'mas edition. If I can find some -performer gear, I'll go back and test it again.
