If it's from an etherwind mutation, just get a potion of cure corruption. Easy way is to hit up the casino with single chip bets, all you need is a single 5 win streak, which is dead easy if you know how the dealer works.

Thanks a bunch, that worked and saved me the trouble of cheat engine too.

How do you capture a gold bell? or even kill it for that matter, it just seems impossible.
In my case it was the spell Dominate (i think i got it from a dream sequences, the one in which you recieve a random spell) that thanks to Elona+ new possibility to "attend magic training" for platinium at the guy that can identify items, i had high enough level for it to work.

The spell helped too with the cat quest that required a silver cat (they're rare but can be summoned by the boss from the battle with the cat tamer infestation quest) delivered to one of Palmia citizen.

Now for killing, my character magic dart is so good by now that 1 use is enough (and even better if you run into a silver bell as they leave platinium and small medals ! )

Another way to obtain potion of cure corruption (and potion of cure mutation too) is to invest in a magic shop , i have one in the village near the base at level 47 and sometime it has now cure mutation potion, and it happens that it has cure corruption on sales too by now.
Of course it takes a lot of money to get the shops to level , so don't invest in too many shops, focus on one.

All three are yes's. It appears to be the same error as when you try to run it without windows 7 compatibility.
From what i remember some games have trouble running on modern OS if they're not placed in C:\ but are placed somewhere else (like in C:\Program Files ) due to how their file system works with those modern OS data prevention system, maybe Elona is one of those.

So in case you don't have your elona+ folder in C:\ , try to move it there before launching ElonaC.exe

Just my two bits, but I don't think this is so. I run it out of a subfolder deep in my D: drive on Win10 (though obviously in Win7 compatibility mode).

Seemingly randomly got three abilities, among them "rubbing". Is there are any use for it except make npcs shout "sexual harrasment!"?

Rubbing causes NPCs (like pets) get bonuses or penalties depending on their relationship with you.

It also increases the quality of item drops in a ranch, as you use it on them over time.

On a side note... the fact that dead pets count towards number of allies is also complete rubbish. :(

Dead pets can be revived with an NPC in towns, with their equipment and everything. So they're not gone for good, don't worry.

To get the obvious out of the way:

Did you allow the files that wanted to overwrite on installing Custom to do so?
Are you running the game with the Custom exe?
Are the scene .hsp files in the same top-level folder as the exe? (They are named scene1.hsp and scene2.hsp)
All three are yes's. It appears to be the same error as when you try to run it without windows 7 compatibility.
I don't even run this on compatibility mode, but I have the elona folder on my desktop. ... It might not be windows 10 either.  I havn't needed to know in a long time.

I know, but I was trying to kill off my pets so I could do escort missions/sell some at the slave trader. Ended up just merging them using the gene machine :(

That's one way to describe it.

God damn. I don't think I've seen more than one or two living weapons in my entire time playing Elona. Just happened to check an adventurer, and they had... a living weapon claymore. For my Claymore. Instead of a fucking scythe or something. Got it in trade for some trash weapon. Even more luckily, the upgrade cycle for the month I got it in had the +chance for absolute piercing attack as the special upgrade, so I got three of those in. God damn. Guess I'm gonna need to reroll a mat kit for it.

Finally took the 3 stones from the 3 small dungeons that were necessary to unlock the stairs in the Lesimas dungeon.
It was surprisingly a piece of cake, i guess it means my character and allies are ready.

So after going to Lesimas, and beyond the locked stair and the story (elona custom re-adding it) being told every few levels, i run into a mid boss i didn't remembered the last time i went there "Alsapia the murderer mask", maybe it's an Elona+ guy (as the last time i won Lesimas it was the original Elona) but after a short dialogue the fight began and he went down very fast.

What was much more annoying is that in the large room he wasn't alone there were a lot of invisible enemies, and i had no way to see them and stupidly had left all my potions back in my storage room so i couldn't reveal them by throwing randomly potion to make them wet and so reveal them.
So my squad was taking small damage (fortunately) without retaliating.

Fortunately, it's still possible to deal with them by using the target key ( the * key) and aim at a tile, if there's none there, there's a message "you aim at the ground" , but if there's an invisible guy it's "you aim at something" .
There was a bunch of those guys but with the targetting thing i finally managed to get rid of them.

Then on a later level, i ran into an "elec Dragon" , as i was more or less one shotting everything that wasn't an unique or boosted monster, i shot, and again and again, while noticing this "elec Dragon" health was going down extremely slowly, much more slowly than any boss i took down so far.
Then he attacked and one shotted 3 of my 4 allies , letting only me and my powerhouse warrior (the little girl) , and a couple of turns later i was alone vs the elec Dragon.
Unfortunately my roguelike problem appeared :
I mean "there's no way that monster will resist my most powerfull spells, i annihilated everything until then, i sure could teleport away to the stairs at any time and escape unscathed, but that monster MUST die there's no other way"
And my character died.
I came back with my squad and ... we all died again.

Damn, can't believe this single enemy is so much more powerfull than anything my troopers destroyed so far.

Sure i could just avoid easily that elec Dragon as the stairs are not far from each other, but ... you know ... "that monster MUST die there's no other way" :D

found a diary of older sister so now i have a young girl and a older sister following me. used the leash on her (get your minds outta the gutter, the leash makes it so your followers don't wander off) cuz the older sister uses ranged attacks so i gave her full glass armor with a glass assault rifle with a glass powercell. now creatures rarely even make it to me, she fires like 10 times a turn.

Ah yes, the insatiable lust of corn and rice, clearly two of the most erotic foods.

Make sure to buy a rogue wizard from the slave market and use it to gene-splice the Cooking skill onto one of them. If you wake up between dawn and noon after sleeping with an active ally that can cook, they'll wake up early and cook breakfast for you, which bloats the entire party and increases potentials (scaling with Cooking skill). It costs nothing and is one of the keys to keeping your potentials high.

yeah i was considering hiring some new followers anyway. im a proponent of quality over quantity so i don't usually go above 2 or 3 really high level followers but this time i plan on creating a small empire; im talking building ranches and stores and museums around my starter cave.
