Where's a DL link to v1.60.1?

Here's the wikia thread about it. You can go to axfc for the official download, but the site is in Japanese (still should be manageable with Google Translate) and I heard the ads might be NSFW. Or you could just get it off that Dropbox link.

Now I'm in the mood to play Elona+ again. Time to Load up one of my old characters, not remember what I was up to, start a new one instead and never make it past the first continent!

Are those string traps still around these days and is there a way to avoid/detect them reliably?

Start by just farming lesmias lvl 1 instead of puppy cave, then you can always recover dropped items... And I havent played a new char since the traps came around so i haven't even noticed them

Detect traps skill and spam the search key. Yeah I know no one is going to do this.

Elin(Eternal League of Nefia, The Garden of Elin, Before the Dawn) is a RPG I've been developing since the start of 2016. The current goal of the project is to make it available on steam(as an early access game). Although sharing the same world and lore, it's neither a sequel of Elona nor a roguelike game but a completely new one.

crazy that it is already 7 years ago when i randomly found elona shooter on kongregate and then found out about elona back then and liked how it plays... though i never did all that "potential or min/maxing stuff".

i still remember that back in the day "something" (elona+?) added a 2nd continent?/worldmap to the south east or something like that?

Ah, good ole elona. Still a fave game, and I keep meaning to start it back up, especially since the new english translations have been added. But I just keep getting sidetracked by various other games.

Ah Elona. It's the game that got me into Dwarf Fortress.

My most powerful character is a gunner riding a centaur with the android pet in a tag team with me. Three ranged attackers occupying one space. The evolved centaur has the bow given by Lulwy which frequently boosts their speed (boosting my speed too). I haven't found a god heart to evolve the android yet.

For the sake of an argument I made a snail tourist. It's not as difficult as I thought it would be. That's not saying much because it's still difficult. The only way I deal any reasonable amount of damage is by throwing junk items at enemies. I made a break for the lulwy shrine as early as I could. Very stupid mistake because I was halfway back to Vernis when the etherwind struck. It was just dumb luck that I got helpful speed boosting mutations. Unfortunately it means I only have the shoot and ammo slots.

Drain life and teleportation have been vital to my survival.

It's really weird thinking Elona got someone into DF. Always felt more like a kinda odd rpg where you set out as a pauper and try to live as royalty.

Seems I got nostalgic for this game at a good time. Custom really helps, and man the quality of life changes are good. Not having to stress about leveling or grind jobs to learn skills has been great. Not that it's stopping me from wondering if there's a faster way to earn platinum later on. My thief is a long way away from having all the skills I want.

Elona, probably the only game where my pet is a little girl (i wanna say mid teens, cuz I'm not that kind of pervert) who can kick ass in full glass armor and with a solid steel claymore. Srsly, she wrecks worse then I do, but I am a Juere Pianist who uses rifles and guns. All glass of course. I'm probably going to dl the newest version at some point and try it again; I once had a moderately profitable store and never upgraded the small cave house as that was enough for me.

As your fame increases quests will sometimes grant more platinum. That comes with increased difficulty though. You can also rush through dungeons for the platinum rewards and chance to get small medals.

It got me into it because I read the TV tropes page on elona and clicked a few links that were on the page. After reading some of the dwarf fortress stories I had to give it a try.

So has anyone had issues with custom MP3 music just NOT playing? I can set up the musiclist file and songs will just not play for some reason

Edit: I don't know if I even did anything but it started working just fine.
