Looks like you can get it here, assuming 1.50 is the newest version (which it seems to be, but I googled for all of like five seconds so it's entirely possible it's not!). After you start the game, it'll give a prompt regarding which language you want to play in.

AnnaBannana Elona Custom big translation of Elona + has been updated, you can now use it for the latest version of Elona + (1.50), no more need of Elona + 1.49

So i didnt pay attention and added extra legs to a pet and now i want to get rid of that and clean up any related values. Using Elosnack, I was able to find and remove the legs but changing the Speed Correction value didnt do anything ingame when investigating a pet via the informer.
Can anyone assist me?

Rather than tinkering with saves Why not talk to Doctor Gavela and have him reset limbs?

Eh, never experienced that problem, and i do try to level my spells.
Are you using a race with low mana?
Only other way i can think of this happening is if you are using a costly spell in the early game without training your magic attribute.

Level 12 Yerles Warmage. 77 mana. My Magic dart only costs 8 at the moment, but training spells results in climbing costs even over just a fw minutes. Wizard harvest for example, went from 46 to 51 in I think 5 spellcasts.

Meanwhile, hero costs 15, regenertion costs 16, and some of the combat spells i've picked up from dreams are in the 30-40 range.  A spell like magic storm, that costs 41 despite being only level 1, seems like it could very quickly become impractically expensive simply from casual use.

If it all works out and it's not a problem, then ok...but from what I'm seeing so far, it seems like it could become a problem.

On my best character (level 65 Elea Wizard, 124 magic, and 123 will) I have 2217 MP. Level 95 magic darts cost 27 each for 18d53, level 87 hero costs 47, and level 71 regeneration costs 52. The 2 most expensive spells I have are level 73 identify for 88 and level 6 meteor for 233, which aren't exactly spells you'd have to spam.

It's probably just your race/class combo. If you really do end up having MP issues you could take the 5 Magical Gene feats; I think they each give 5 more mana, which will end up being 5% more MP each (or so; I'd have to look up the formula to be sure). Also eat all the magic fruit you can.

Just a heads up: Norton detected Trojan.Gen in Elona.exe (1.50 Elona Custom) and moved it into quarantine.

I just threw the Elona Custom 1.50 executable in the good virus total scanner and on the 55 antivirus engine, there are 9 of them that found it infected, and symantec (norton av) is one of those indeed

Usually one or two reporting a file infected and none of the other is very likely hint of false positive, but that's 9 of them there , i noticed neither kaspersky or eset (nod32) are reporting it infected, so still chances of false positive as usually they're good AV , but will have to wait and see if there's confirmation of false positive or if there's indeed something infected there.

edit : noticed on this thread " Re-compiling Elona
shows that it's not actually something new

So, I've played around with it some more. If anyone would like a re-compiled exe, here you go: E+ 1.47 Custom (Dropbox). Drop it in your Elona+1.47 folder and run the executable. I recommend you make a new character to test things out, or at least make a backup of your saves before doing this. And like all executables you may download off the internet, scan for viruses first.

 Miyana
That was really fast! Even considering a differant time zone 1.48 hasn't been out for long at all.
By the way, when I tried to download it my anti-virus decided to mark it as a threat, any reason it's doing this or is my AV just being paranoid?

 Zeofolium
probally paranoid

 AnnaBannana
You can use WinMerge or any other text compare to compare the source I posted to the raw decompiled source to see what I changed (and compile it yourself). I didn't do anything but replace lines, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. If 1.47 didn't throw an alarm for you though, I'm not sure why this build would.

 Zeofolium
1.47 threw alarms for me and a 2 overs on elochat
and yea.. the virustotal for that one triggered the same as that one there so
by alarms meen firefox had it blocked middownload

 AnnaBannana
As for the virus thing: Other people in the thread reported it setting off some virus scanners. It's always good to be cautious. The source is always posted so you can compare the changes against the raw source and compile it yourself if you'd like. I don't know what about it would be setting off any AV software.

So very likely false positive.

Anyone have tips for incognito runs to the mage guildhall trainer? I've managed to train at the other two guilds simply by teleporting away their GMs once they're close, but the mage guild is painfully difficult. Even with >200 health and 101 speed, the guildmaster routinely breaks through walls and kills me before I even have line of sight on him.

EDIT:
Found a solution: mass monster summoning to create a swarm of alternate targets to hide behind followed by chain teleports until I got lucky and landed within a few steps of the trainer.

the great Elona Custom translation and story re-implementation mod of Elona+ reached version 1.50.4

change since the last time i reported an update to it ( it was version 1.50.2 ) :

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's getting better and better , great work , the story re-added in english (after the original full removal of it since forever) really gives a new atmosphere to Elona.

I threw the 1.50.4 executable into the virus total scanners .
And this time on the 55 antivirus engines , 7 of them found an infection, and even Symantec (Norton) does not detect it as infected anymore as it did on the 1.50.2 version.
So i guess the false positive is more and more likely, probably the way the original executable is patched/recompilled with the translation, though i don't have the original Elona Plus executable to see if the problem comes from the way it's translated or if it was already there in the original.

source code is available for 1.50.4 for those that wants to check.

I-I have no idea where to even start playing this game. Once I finish the basic tutorial and get a pet little girl, I'm basically lost. The most I've managed to do is have sex, and get an STD.

Talk to people in the starting town, you'll get quests.

There's a good permanent starting dungeon just to the east of the town, it randomizes each floor every time you enter it so it's pretty good for farming low-level monsters and early loot.

More importantly, use the wiki. This game has an absolutely ridiculous amount of breadth and a pretty good amount of depth to it, including anti-grinding features and other stuff. Food and platinum coins are very, very important, because if you want to focus on raising particular skills and attributes you need to eat the right kind of food and use platinum coins at trainers to keep your potential high. As your potential drops, you level up attributes and skills more slowly.

There's a beginner guide that should be helpful :
http://elona.wikia.com/wiki/Beginner%27s_Guide

In other news, an update to the amazing Elona Custom translation and story re-implementation project of Elona+  , reaching version 1.50.5

Changes:

Two cutscene translations have been added. A very minor amount of journal and dialogue text has also been translated.
    Minor typo fix

I forgot to change the version string, so this will still show 1.50.4.

I threw the executable at the virus total scanners again to check, and this time only 4 out of the 54 virus engines that analysed it found it infected :

Didn't know there was an E+ translation to english. That kind of makes my slow as hell personal translation of chapter 2 pointless :P

Also in regards to mp costs - the MP cost for any spell is "BaseCost + BaseCost * L / 25" according to wiki and this seems pretty accurate. To illustrate: my Nerve Arrow cost only about 60 at about 200 lv while doing sick level of damage and that's before nightmare comes into play. Also buff spells increase in duration more than they do in cost so effective cost per turn is getting lower.
