Didn't see this until like a month later, but it's all good. Aren't those the same item anyway? I forget. No matter, I never take anything out of those set quest maps besides the medals, herbs, and wallets/suitcases.
In bigger news,
Elona 1.41fix is out. There was a little trouble involving sprites for Lovecraftian creatures on 1.40 so it was taken down, but fear not, this update is up and it's better than ever. Featuring (thanks AnnaBanana; if that's one of you guys I'll be very impressed)
- Platinum cost to learn new skills is lowered to 5 originally, and the new max is 15 as opposed to 50. WHOOOAOAOAOAOA
- New Lost Irva story stuff again
- "It deals massive damage to x" enchants are now more based on the strength of the enchantment. Also, living weapons buff for those attributes.
- Rods weigh half as much, and attack rods have way more charges but were slightly nerfed in damage.
- Fill Charge always restores 2 for rods and 1 for books, with a failure and destruction rate tied to Control Magic.
- New special action that lets you apply potions to everyone in sight at Alchemy 60. Of course, not everything works, and it's slightly weaker than a normal potion.
- Making a character from a gene gives your new character gold based on the original's gold, platinum based on the original's base stats, and starting skill points based on the original's total. Apparently this was supposed to already be a thing, but was just not working because of code errors.
The platinum cost for skills decrease and the bonus gp/pp/skills from genes make this seem like a better time than ever to restart, especially after the whole AP INI thing.
