You summon the slime to kill the mice, you summon the demon to kill the slime, you summon the tank to kill the slime. And now the tank is murdering people.

You need to "summon" a nuke. :P
Except I lost nearly all of my money *trying* to deal with the stupid thing.
Right now I'm just robbing Derphy blind to make some money.

Does anyone know how to get pets away from the dojo?

Simply interact (i) with your pet and choose the "Bring Out" option.

How does the dojo in Elona+ work?
I think it's supposed to train pets over time. You give her a pet and it stays there to train (?). I'm just guessing, but I DID manage to get a pet to stay there from pressing some combinations of choices.

IIRC when you talk to the dojo master, the second option will let you put a pet there. From what I understand from Google Translated Elona+ wiki, the first one is free, subsequent ones will cost money (not sure if it's no. of pets or no. of times). Your pet will gain experience according to the time they were in the dojo.

Also there are small medals in the dojo, but none in South Border.

In past games, I always combined nuking Palmia with the Thieves Guild initiation quest. Not paying your taxes for that long already drags your karma through the mud, so it's hard to get it much worse. If the thieves guild is your thing, JimDale, you may as well let taxes pile up. By the time you're a criminal, you should be able to afford the nuke.

Fakeedit: I see your problem is in Vernis. My point still stands, really... might as well nuke both places if your karma is already bottomed out.

Hmm, so I've been playing a bit now on a new character, up to Lvl7 and have some decent gear for the beginning. Did the first step of the main quest, too. I'm trying to get into the Fighter's Guild, but I'm having trouble with the initiation. Where the heck are these Orc Warriors? Also, should I just keep grinding hunting, delivery, and  escort quests until I have even more money? (I have 20k right now, just spent 30k on some boots and 10k on an accidental investigation on allies before I learned that I could revive them easily...my party was full of dead people and I was so confused.)

orc warriors are low-medium level enemies. They'll appear in appropriate dungeons. As for money, raiding the puppy cave over and over again is probably faster.

Those fighter guild quests will continue after you gain membership, and your targets are randomly decided. You may end up with something you won't meet for a long while. So if you are not against save scumming, do so!

For checking your pets' stats, there's a better way - Gene Engineering skill. You can get a Gene Machine by doing an easy quest for the scientist in Port Kapul (western most town in North Tyris). You can learn the skill in Port Kapul as well. Once you have the skill and the machine, you can take something from your ranch or buy a cheap slave from Derphy, and add it to the pet you want to check.

Hmm, not a bad idea, I'd like to check out Gene engineering anyways.
Hey, is there any way to download the source? I remember reading it was released, but have yet to find it.

EDIT
I just found 'the heavy scythe named <The Homo>'. It enhances magic, object detection, and stealth, as well as invoking decapitation. Sadly it does half as much damage as my current axe.

EDIT
And now my two slaves (including the one destined for marriage to myself) decided to make out on the battlefield during a mission. No more engagement rings for you!

This is basically Elona in a single post.

Or at least the perverted side.

I think I shall download a + version. Is there a link a few pages back?

You'd have to ask Noa (the old developer) yourself. He doesn't just put it up for download because he worries about possible copyright issues with redistributing some of the art assets. Or you know, bum it off someone who has it, but I'd respect his wishes. Use the Form Mail page on the official Elona site: I got a response back within a couple days.

As for Elona+... it's on the first google result for "Elona+". Just google translate the page and look for a download. Google translate links are long and look like vomit, or I'd link you right to it. Although looking at it... ooh, there's an Elona+ 1.08 now? That's new. *runs off*

It's the second link on the page,  the one that ends in .zip.

Elona+ Moongates often give me an error about 'invalid showroom', closes the game, and then removes the Moongate whenreloaded, wasting it. Any workaround or way to fix it? Does it happen in vanilla Elona, too?

It's never happened in regular Elona for me.

Which is a pity, it's fun to get murdered by some sort of abomination. Pity there's no money in it. Or xp mostly.

Invalid showrooms usually mean they're using custom tiles, there's nothing you can do about it aside from getting the same version they're using.

I read that you can kill Ragnarok guy by throwing doomed beer puddles near him, so he throws up and dies (but won't hate because beer isn't bad).

Not true in Elona+. He hit a puddle and instakilled me. No summons, luckily.
