I managed to get 152 speed as my highest speed record. I got the equipment, traits and corruption traits. Is there any good way to permamently increase speed further?

Riding skill? I don't know how it works though. Does riding something always increase your speed? Is it based only on that creature's speed? Can you ride anything?

Worship Lulwy, stack faith. Each 4 levels of piety is +1 speed or something.

Buy from the blacksmith shop in Palmia. Offer to altar in the top part of the city.

Riding skill? I don't know how it works though. Does riding something always increase your speed? Is it based only on that creature's speed? Can you ride anything?

Anything can be ridden, but not everything makes an effective mount. Obviously, riding a slow pet would just make you slower. Carry too much and your pet may get crushed if its strength is low. Some monsters will get a major speed penalty no matter what; particularly bells.

Your speed when riding depends on the mount's speed and your riding skill. Riding skill also affects accuracy of your melee attacks while mounted, but trying to use a weapon/shield that weighs more than 4.0s while riding will massively decrease your chance to hit.

Some creatures require a high riding level if don't want the huge speed penalty. Some animals (like horses if I remember right) are easier to ride thus require less riding.

*Goes back to Derphy and gets the secret treasure*
*Pet drinks from well.  "What would you like to wish for?"*

This game rewards being a horrible person!
And all this was done before level 6 too...

I always start with getting the wicked secret treasure too. Then I grind "li'l tail" until I have like 2-3m GP. I spend it all on a castle, ranches, potions of evolution and potions of potential. It's too difficult to get money at the start of the game if I don't do this.

Unless you get escort boots from wishing.

But grinding 'lil tail wouldn't get me that much money.
