Well Ehndras, Soul Serpent, the Juere Thief is now born into the world.

Out of curiosity, I noticed the game supposedly connects to the internet. Does that mean all those messages about folks wishing for things and getting artifacts are actually real players? (and nPCS also, I'd assume)

Whoa. Rather than start with the usual shitty weapon, I started with this:

Bronze Wakizashi of Cold
4d3 (Pierce 5%)
hit bonus 1 / damage bonus 1
Cold Damage (###)
Res Lighting (#)
Res Cold (#####)
Perception +4

Yeah, when I tried for an etherwind-proof cloak, I got a spell of nether eye.

Oh you two. You fail at wishing and everything forever.

It is precious.
Precious items may only be wished for in wizard mode.

Yeah, when I tried for an etherwind-proof cloak, I got a spell of nether eye.
Vindale will grant you a Vindale cloak, which protects from Etherwind.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

I usually play in wizard mode, I totally forgot about that detail.

I had no internet at the time. Vindale would be my 2nd guess.

Still no scrolls of change material or Disguise kits. Going to keep investing in stuff.

What's everyone's favourite death? Mine is neurofibroma.

Hmm... mine is... None. I don't die, I don't plan to die, and if I die, then Savescum!

Yay cheating!

But then you lose that really awesome item that you picked up in a dungeon. If you just accepted death you would lose a couple of items and some gold. I'd gladly pay 20k for a seed right now (God is Mani of machine and I'm not switching.)

You know, whenever this thread comes up, I start to play a bit of Elona again. And every time i play Elona, I get ROFLstomped. This time around, I got a wish! The seven league boots? Cursed of course. Every single NPC has cursed equipment, so I cant find them. My CURSED Seven League Boots were lost when I died in the puppy cave. I ended up heading towards the sisters mansion, and then etherwind started blowing. I died somewhere and got back to my cave somehow. But I keep playing. God knows why, but I do. This game is one of the most hated of mine, and one of my most beloved. Hmmm. I think there was a point to this rant at first, but I lost it. Damn. Well, I'm off to go play some more Elona!

Something about this game makes me wonder why God lets it exist.
Say, if you give birth on a ranch and then murder your baby will a corpse drop be guaranteed?

Yeah, Elona is unique. On one side, it's a punishing, if not an ordinary, rather bland roguelike, but on the other, it is strangely addicting and compelling.

Probably has something to do with the game's presentation, being all graphical, musical and stuff like that.

Also, houses.

I Have 150K and 103 platinum. Should be enough for some pickpocket.

Now If only I had a disguise kit I could go steal trees and stuff.

I got a castle, 5 ranches, a storage house, a museum, a shop and a farm, I think money is overrated in this game. It's very valuable at start though.

Yeah, this is my seed money for buildings and delicious item-improving scrolls.

Never had a Ranch though. Didn't know you could have more than one.

What's everyone's character name? Might be able to see each other's exploits.
