Go find a wizard NPC in the towns. They're usually near the trainer and informer. Then ask them to completely identify (is that the phrase?)

I make a living now alternating between trying to up my STR stat from farm quests and pickpocketing from adventurers that visit me...  When's a good time to start a shop?  Is it even worth it?  From reading on the Elona forums it seems like its gonna be hard to make a turnaround.

Alternatively, you could've just held it for a while. You don't need the appraisal skill in order to appraise things, and you already know what the attributes are.

Sorry, more questions...Is a glass armor with 8 DV better than a metal armor with -1 DV and 10 PV? The glass has speed +4, and ## on speeding body metabolism and shields. DV is, uh...Dodge value? I think PV is protection value. Sorry! Thanks .

I think so, but be aware that rank 94 is extremely high. I mean extremely high. To put it in context, that value goes up by 1 each time you invest in a given shop. Most normal shops are 10-20.

I wouldn't bother with trying to rob them until you're pretty high leveled anyhow, as they have a fairly strong force of guards. If you're looking for cash, just find a good lute, bless it, and start practicing your Performer skill on low leveled followers and townsfolk, assuming you have Performer.
