I've put my temporary shack up next to the embassy for convenience and will probably move my home whenever I get a castle.

Also: Busy running through Lesimas at level 12 (I'm at something like floor 13-15 right now), and I finally manage to clear a floor full of asuras, fairies, thunderclouds, those alpha sword-things, etc. I get down to the next level, and... undead hands, suicide yeeks, and a blue baptist. Huh? Not that I'm complaining or anything, seeing as how I'm almost out of pots and my pets are all dead.

Also, who needs poison when you can take down bells with your shuriken?

You'd need poison anyway in case you drink water or something...

Plus poison is a little more reliable.

True. But I had used it all up nailing a silver bell and helping to clear out that room full of stuff above my level earlier on. Plus, I somewhat enjoy doing things the hard way. Like taking a hunting task with four stalkers and me without anything to detect invisibility, and not just running away when I found out.  :P

Also, it appears that the Ether Disease will eventually affect you, even if you never get caught in Ether Wind.

In the opening credits, it establishes that your character was caught in an Ether Storm prior to the game.

...Although, I've always been bothered by the fact that you start off in the middle of the mainland, even though the starting story established that you arrived via shipwreck.  So take as little or as much consolation from the game intro as you like.

See, I make a habit of never assuming that intros or cutscenes have any connection to gameplay. Not least because the whole "caught in an Ether Storm" thing doesn't even make sense. It is explicitly stated that the Ether Storms occur at set intervals, every three months IIRC, and I doubt that anyone would be stupid enough to be at sea when one was due. For that matter, the whole thing about the disease being incredibly widespread makes little sense, again because of the predictability of the storms and the availability of shelters, which are apparently so common that they cost less than a storage shed or a mediocre crossbow. Unless there are invisible 'idiot ball' items that are passed out to every individual at birth or something, because if someone was reasonably careful they could hide through every storm, along with saving up and popping a cure corruption potion if things ever got very bad, and live pretty much to the end of their normal lifespan, given the apparently glacial progress of the disease under normal conditions.   :-X

You can also occasionally find them as loot/drops in dungeons.
