I think ranged is affected by Dex as that's the stat the skills use.

Ok, I'm in the middle of making some starting capital. It going slowly, and I've een killing swarms of beggars to supplement my monies.

For some reason a lot of people kill each other at parties now.Is it because of the game version I have?

That reminds me, I wanted to ask: What the hell are you supposed to do at parties, anyway? You're told to entertain people, well I can't talk to any of them, so... Is playing the piano or similiar the only way to do it?

It uses Performer skill, meaning you have to use an instrument. The piano's already a given.

Big Daddies are considered interact-able NPC's, so they can't be dominated or caught.

The show house is for exploring downloaded custom player maps. They're like self-contained moongates, but you need to download the map file manually.

I wish I could figure out on how to successfully create a custom NPC. Kept trying, and the game crashes.
