Pull the lever which simultaneously seals off the fortress and opens the floodgates to flush all of the nobles out of the fortress to valiantly defeat the incoming threat.

Try to go milk the scorpions, but get attacked by an unholy cross of a GCS and a carp, dodging it into a river, where he'd melt due to necrosis.

WWUD if each creature currently in the fort at the time would (exponentially) double in size each month?
