Since he's already booze deprived, he tantrums and pulls the nearest lever. And since everybody knows to put the most important levers in the most easily accessible places, the spring-loaded catsplosion defense mechanism is unleashed upon the dwarves.

WWUD if the only source of booze was milked from cats?

Walk away safely. Dwarves are in different weight category than humans, he wouldn't trigger traps.
