Nothing. Until the trolls showed up to rither trade or invade, the latter if they retained the babysnatching tendancies of ggoblins. Of course, given their size, a troll could stick a full-grown dwarf in its pocket, so they migh not just snatch babies...

What would Urist do if he was abducted by a troll?

rape a tree , see a dwarf using a wooden crutch , kill the dwarf , eat the dwarf , attack the adamantine-clad dwarves with a wooden stick , eat all the dwarves he killed , die by falling off a tree that he was raping .
