Change his name and take up the title of peddler. If people don't notice suspicious strangers walking around with the symbols of other civs on their armour (armour that usually makes little sense to begin with for their given profession), there's no reason to think they'd notice a vampire wereelephant if he took up a different identity.

WWUD to make his new identity even more convincing?
