Bridge washed away by seasonal flood
« on: December 21, 2006, 02:36:00 pm »

The cave river flooded, I watched it first spill onto the shore as usual, then my drawbridge was covered by water tiles (deep water tiles, not shallow). I was hoping it'd re-appear after the waters receded, but it did not. The bridge is entirely gone, the 't' key does not hilite it and I had to build another bridge in the same spot. Is this normal behavior? Do I need to raise/retract all my bridges over the river when I get the overflowing message?

The cave river floods shouldn't harm bridges, and I have no idea why this happened.  A serious flood (the first one you get from the miner) can destroy buildings, but the overflowing cave river shouldn't be able to generate floods of this magnitude.  Perhaps it does.
