and then brain wash them with your legendary +5 social skills so they wont betray you if possible

cause overlords dont kill everyone they meet. they're not gonna fear and worship you if they're dead aren't they..(unless you ressurect them as zombies under ur power maybe*shrug*)

plus a town taken over could provide a steady source of gold and minions
