You check your STATUS. Currently you have no ITEMS or WEAPON. You are also UNINJURED but DISINTERESTED. You cannot be assed to jump over the lasers because you don't really care enough for physical exertion. You may have to find a lazier way past them. Similarly, you cannot reach the calendar.

You remove the SIGN. There is a KEY behind it. For the moment you drop the SIGN, you'll equip it when the author remembers to. You try to use it on the closet door, only to find that the door has no lock! You stow the key for later.


Aha! You're sure you now have everything you need to cross the lasers: A RUBBER DUCK, a TOY CAR, a HAMMER, MIRROR, ORANGE POOL NOODLE and a LADDER. Oh, and an old DIRTY MAGAZINE tacked to the door.

You equip the RUBBER DUCK. You also try to force the POOL NOODLE down your pants, but it vanishes into your INVENTORY. Now that you have a rubber duck on your head, you are slightly more interested- your mood has upgraded from MEH to WUT. You are now interested enough to do things like climbing in vents!


You pry off the vent cover on the ceiling (convenient huh?) and climb up. The shaft ends on the right, and on the left it branches into two paths, one going forward and the other turning.
