My single most badass randomly-generated fort name was Ironwars. Ironic, since I think it fell to goblins before I had a firm grasp on smithing.

My most ridiculous fort name, and my favourite so far, is Bootlobsters. It's just so fun to say.

Orrundeler: Steelroars
My first fort that actually lived for more than 5 years.

One fort I had was dubbed Hollowtomb though the generator. Highlights include:

1. In the first year, a giant olm came and killed eleven dwarves, then waltzed off the map, never to be seen again. Then two more dwarves died because of insanity and tantrums, leaving only two permanently-bedridden dwarves and three working dwarves.

2. Three short years later, both elves and goblins (the former were already at war with this civilization) ambushed at the same time, complete with war animals, totaling five pages full of invaders (about 90 things trying to kill me). In comparison, my military was about ten dwarves strong. All 87 dwarves died in that fort, which hasn't been touched since.

On the other hand, though, I can see a fort like that easily becoming the tomb for the invaders instead.

My current fort is Bodicespots. 


I only use the random names. I don't adjust the name at all during embark.

I wonder if that was "Elders" and "trumpets" or "Elder" and "strumpets"...
