That is... freaking... huge!
I'll add it in. Good luck with your suicide attempt.
You can actually make it even BIGGER by channeling the ground beneath it and building new stories there.

Did you just post a bunch of vegi-dicks on my board?  I've been trying to combat forum devolution a bit, and that involves fewer vegi-dicks!

Yes, random is funny, isn't it? Sometimes I set up a random number generator when I need a good laugh.

Build them?  I wouldn't really have to..  Just channel around it and then use the resulting rock layer (no soil on this particular section of land) as my wall...
But yeah, I do plan on doing that once I have this thing built up all the way.

Yup. You get the "Best Dwarf" award. Oh, and you get a fishy stick.

What, don't tell me no one else has gotten an award yet!  C'mon folks, hop to it!

Don't look at me, I'm busy.  Very very busy.  No time.  In fact, I'm late.

I have been busy with my own story fortress, so the Dwarf-ympics, so I haven't been actively going for awards.
If I can, I'll make some a placeholder.

Heck, I'll take a stab at the Boromir award:

I'm sure someone can top four arrows, but I'll hold the record for now!

EDIT:  An elven retreat and goblin fortress later, and I'm up to six arrows!  Not too shabby!

I'd like to try for most valuable artifact, even though I've had it for a while now:

Holy hell that's expensive.  Time to start an adventurer and smack stuff around with it!

EDIT:  "Monty Phyton"?

Do falling items deal damage to creatures underneath them yet? This artifact has Loony Tunes potential.

Meh. Now, if it were made of inobtanium, it would. 80 weight units is nothing for an anvil...

Thanks for your last response, Asheron!

This thread seems to be dying a little. In that case, I'd better share these before this thread gets forgotten:

If it's no trouble, I'd like to be trying for... largest amount of food, largest amount of animals, Iron Man/longest surviving fortress (since no one seems to be applying for this), most wealth generated and most megabeasts tamed.

I like the ideas in this thread, and it seems a shame that more people haven't been registering their records. Well, as long as Asheron doesn't mind, of course.

I hardly think he would.

By the way, that must be one very big cage.  Either that, or it's pretty damned cramped in there.  Hmmm...  Imagine what would happen if hydras and dragons crossbred...  You'd get seven heads that breathed fire...

Interesting.

I'll question the unmoddedness of the shared megabest cage pic. AFAICR, only animals that come with the starting wagon (and maybe migrants) get the "stray" in their name, they are usually just "dragon" or "hydra", even if you tamed them...
