If it's in another Touhou part, won't happen.
Not playing another one, until I beat this one without a continue.

Reisen is stage 5.
Her attacks are very awkward to a newcomer.
Then you've got Eirin, who is just annoying to fight.

Funny thing is, Reisen doesn't get a lot of respect when you compare her to the other Stage 5 bosses. She's more on Meiling China's level where that's concerned.

Its the speed change that really gets you, and you feel intimidated to stay way down low..

Really? She's one of the few bosses where I actively go up. Maybe it's because I'm used to lunacy?

I did quite well, when I first fought her, I believe.
All the attacks follow a pattern and most of the time it comes down to positioning yourself in the largest gap, move along with the flow to survive until the next freeze, during which you position yourself in the next gap.
True, I horribly failed when I tried the spellcards now, but my vision is all blurry at the moment.
With some practice she is doable.

Hmm trying out the stage 6 spellcards...

Hm, I have to say, that the spellcard which I found hard, on hard, was the last spellcard of stage 6, when you're boxed in.

You need to really be able to anticipate things while they're far away from hitting you, and move fairly quickly and precisely to deal with things like that. Not that I'm any good at it.
Not so easy with spellcards, where lost of colors/elements are involved, where you can become blind to one of them.
Also random attacks are hard to aniticipate.

Right. What I'm saying is that normally there's more focus on memorizing patterns and being able to anticipate them, whereas with hers you need other methods, because you can't rely on that.

Theory as to why Shoot the Bullet and Double Spoiler tend to be harder than normal game spellcards:
It's not that they're using stronger spellcards but rather, Aya is exaggerating things, being a sensationalist reporter and all.

Similar issue with Fairy Wars. She's a (relatively) tiny fairy, so the bullets look more threatening to her than they actually are.

Except maybe Extra Stage. Everybody knows how much Dakka Marisa has.

And there's no way the Shiz can shoot bullets the size of Okuu's suns.

If I remember correctly, Okuu's bullets are the only ones with a hitbox the size of the sprite.

Meanwhile:
Wake up, play Touhou, bomb twice on IN first stage, fail horribly on Wriggle, ragequit.
Get some coffee, come back to IN, hahaha motherfuckers, my skills are back, laugh maniacally as I annihilate everything in my path.

I can has uploads too.

Meanwhile, dunno if anybody else has noticed this.

Bump.

Anyway, who're you guys's favourite Touhous?
Mine'd be Hatate up at the top, with nobody else falling into any definite order.

I find I have no real order. But I really like Remilia, Rumia, Reisen, Orin, Satori, Koishi, Okuu, Momiji, Sakuya, Mystia, Patchy and Parsee.

So I'd say all of them are tied.

My favorite would be... fuck. I forgot.

But I think it was one of the underrated characters. Ya know, the weaker ones or butt monkeys.

I other words, either a stage 1 character, a stage 2 character, or Reisen.
