Today I was attacked by some disgusting blighted camel I swear its flesh was rotting off of its body. Luckily the militia (some guy) managed to remedy its illness. I once heard a song somewhere about how teenagers round the world rubbed camel shit on their faces for beauty purposes perhaps when you do that you become just like this chuffer.

15th Moonstone
Fantastic news today! A caravan from the mountainhome has arrived. Karakzon managed to trade a couple of gold bars for alcohol and some food, two much needed supplies. It should hold us over until we establish the pump and well, and then the farms. The pump system is taking much longer to complete then we though, and Karakzon isn't too happy about it. But he can eat rocks, we are working our asses off. That being said, the year is almost over and we have accomplished much. Honestly i had little hope of our survival, but we seem to be pulling through - but not without set backs. I will soon be turning the official responsibility of recording our progress over to Vladimir. It was suppose to go to Svya, but obviously he can't fill that role now - so onto his kin it goes.

Azoth is a genius! His pump system is actually working. The cistern is slowly filling, but soon enough we shall have fresh water for the farms, oh this is exciting. Just the though of fresh plump helmets is making my mouth water.

28th Obsidian
This will be my last entry, atleast at the official record of Paddlemet's progress. Much has been accomplished in the past year. Sleeping quarters, workshops, forges at the top of the volcano, a well, farming operations, a dining hall and more have all been crafted out of hard dwarf labour (and a bit of stone). I hope the fortress will continue to prosper, and not have to deal with any more tragic events like we had in the past. Also, it should be noted that Ahrimahn is our most valuable member thus far - he is constantly forging all sort of masterful crafts. Crowns, bracelets, everything! And out of gold too! These will pick up a pretty penny when the caravans come around.
