Black Ops in small doses, mostly Vorkuda. I still can't believe that I guessed every plot twist and read too much into everything. Famas in the Vietnam War? Glass is actually a drug that causes compliance? He's still strapped to a chair after the last mission? Does that mean that EVERYTHING after Vorkuda (VORKUUDAAAA!) was a fever dream?

Not really a game but... Waterworld.

Hellgate: London

Showed such promise.  The only negativity I hold toward that game is that I plopped down cash for the lifetime sub.  Never again.

Thankfully Borderlands continues to scratch that particular itch for me.

I was another lifetim subscriber to Hellgate, but luckily the single player is very good too. Borderlands is my other guilty pleasure.

Terranigma, an old SNES action RPG.

I loved it and consider it a great game, but I gotta aknowledge that it was kinda dumb at times. The whole Elle plot later on, the sunstones, fuck the town building up junk.

Evil Genius. Dunno why this game got such a poor reception. Smart, funny, interesting pop-60's artstyle...it's Dungeon Keeper meets Austin Powers.

Magic: The Gathering (the old Microprose one). Funny thing is, I'm not even a fan of Magic in RL form (or any CCG's for that matter, with the possible exception of the old Illuminati: NWO game).

Dance Dance Revolution. Yes, there's really nothing sadder than a 35-year old with aging joints trying to shake his groove thing. But dammit, I like Bemani (rhythm/music games) and I like techno. Haven't played much since I replaced the PS2 with a Wii.

Birthright: The Gorgon's Alliance. I keep reinstalling this thing every year or so, in the hopes that somehow increased technology will redeem it of its problems. It had such promise...a grand strategy game with tactical combat, FPS and RPG elements? Sadly though, the engine for the FPS chunks was like a buggier version of Shadowcaster...3 years after that came out. :-\

EDIT: Oh yeah...and Peggle. My wife and my 4yr-old daughter are hooked on it too.

Digimon World.

The game's glitchy as the first circle and the translations are bad, but it's the most original game I have ever played/

It's really, really fun, too.

I remember that game. I played it when I was young so I didn't really understand the mechanics of the game, and my digimon pooped everywhere. There were literally several dozen piles everywhere. I didn't realize you had to potty train them, heh. Fun game though. I might just give that a try again...

As for my game, probably Wild Arms 2. Translation is pretty awful at times, and the 3D graphics are pretty awful for the time, but I really liked the dungeon/town graphics, and although pretty mangled, it's probably one of my favorite stories. Probably the most "epic"-feeling ending I've played.

Oh, and the music, loved it in that game. Songs from that game are still stuck in my head today.

Hell yes!  I was a huge MtG nerd growing up, and the RPG CCG combo was amazing.  I wish there were more like it now - closest I've found is Culdcept, or maybe Spectromancer.

The Sims, Postal 2, and HellMOO. I have one friend who I've shown HellMOO and he thought it was silly. Another friend found out I have the Sims 3. She still makes fun of me for it.
