Ashaming? None. I'm proud of my opinions, and shall wrestle in seal fat with everyone who challenges them.
Controversial? Perhaps :
- I find Space Empires 4 to be the best 4x game ever made.
- Temple of Elemental Evil is one of the best RPG's, and the most open one!
- I used hippies as a weapon in Constructor game for PS1.
- Albion is worse than every RPG made before and after it (except NWN2)

I'd have to say Postal 2 with the addon and a mod that combines the campaigns. Every once in a while I go back and play through those campaigns, cheating to get all bladed weapons and just spreading carnage as I go about my meaningless objectives. I never actually finish the campaign. A lot of things about the game are too terrible to ignore and overall the game is pretty stupid. But I still get the entertainment I can't in other games.
Postal 2. Modless. I cannot run any mods as I have Windows 7 :(

I would have to say Final Fantasy XII. I had fun with the immersion, the soundtrack, the overall art direction. I don't care what anyone else says, it was a beautiful game, best played for the art of it (for the end of the PS2 era, it had some serious detail). Hell, read all the monster profiles and such as you unlock them. This game had depth. Too many people just complain about the acting or the gambit system (which isn't even broken until near the end of the game anyhow). Maybe it's how I play as well (minimize level grinding unless there's That One Boss/hunt, and even so, keep the average team level fun), but, I like the MMORPG feel it has, despite being a singleplayer adventure. Monster hunting being among my favorite tasks. Best side-quest(s) in the recent FF series (post-FF7), including obtaining (useless) summons.
Holy crap, me too. I found it very fun overall, despite what everyone said.

Probably HolyBeast Online. It's a grindy Korean-style MMO with little to do, and the only unique feature is the ability to switch back and forth between human and animal forms.

And yet, it's cute and friendly, with ridiculous amounts of events and cash-shop-item giveaways. I even won a pet design contest in it, which resulted in my pet design being made into a (rare/valuable) in-game item. I like the music and style, and it's fun to play occasionally with my friends. So there.

Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure.  SO GIRLY.  And what little of the actual gameplay I experienced was pretty weak.  But the music was really cute.

Project Sylpheed, on 360.  Characters were kinda embarrassingly generic animu, especially the hero and rival.  But goddamn if the sound of locking onto everything ever isn't addicting.  Also Macross Spam.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RarGmjbGQKI

I mean add-ons. They're incompatible with Windows 7 and refuse to run. You'll get a message saying "this will only run on *list of O.S*. The most advanced O.S on the list was Windows XP, service pack 2.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Those games are actually very well made, I found them to be great. But damn if the plot isn't hard to follow.

Heroes of Might and Magic IV, which I find more enjoyable than III or V.

It has the greatest story-telling of the three, that's for sure. At least the original campaigns. The characters were remarkably mundane and you basically watched them ascend the ladder of society and power. Glassblower/witch apprentice girl who becomes the queen of an empire - and so much more - because she gets steamrolled by the developments, basically by a big snowball effect? Check. Half-undead necromancer apprentice who read a powerful necromantic scroll because he had no other choice, became an outcast this way and basically just wants peace? Check. Even Evil is made sympathetic here, because there is no such thing as Evil by default. Shown really nicely.

Big rant end.

I really like the concepts they had for it, the ideas. But it feels pretty unpolished in my opinion.

Crysis

...only boring tech demo blah blah blah... AT least it wasn't like that railroaded COD bullshit. I've enjoyed it a lot on delta difficulty.

Yoshi's Story i would say.

And the FF games, although I'm a little unsure why they get so much hate here.

Bulletstorm. There's something epic about getting bonuses for kicking hot dog carts into people. Or getting bonuses for shooting people in the testicles.

Also Crysis. The first half of that game is FUN.
