Quick question on Select Castes tag

I know about CASTE, and SELECT_CASTE:ALL

is there a syntax for selecting a subset of Castes? e.g. I only want to select 2 out of 4 castes for some tags?

this is how it is done in Genesis

   [SELECT_CASTE:MALE]
    [SELECT_ADDITIONAL_CASTE:MALE_ASPID]
    [SELECT_ADDITIONAL_CASTE:MALE_MOSS]
    [SELECT_ADDITIONAL_CASTE:MALE_JADE]
    [SELECT_ADDITIONAL_CASTE:MALE_SHROOM]
    [SELECT_ADDITIONAL_CASTE:MALE_OBSIDIAN]
    [SELECT_ADDITIONAL_CASTE:MALE_STEEL]
    [SELECT_ADDITIONAL_CASTE:MALE_GLOOMER]

male is just the male stonedwarf caste.

To clarify it, you select by the caste name which you define by CASTE token.

I.e. you have CASTE:EXAMPLE1, CASTE:EXAMPLE2 and CASTE:EXAMPLE3.

Then you just select the ones you want.

Thanks, that was exactly what I was after.

Now is there any way, say I have 2 pairs of male/female castes in my dwarf race, which I want to be separate (i.e 2 sub-races), to stop them interbreeding?

Sadly no, and it's the main reason there are no multi-race mods yet :P. So you have to rely on RNG (and population ratio (POP_RATIO) token).

As an aside, I've had alot of luck with multi-racial towns.  The trick is to make their ethics very similar, and make sure both entities [LIKE_SITE] and [TOLERATE_SITE] the same, as well as have similar [BIOME_SUPPORT]. They'll move between areas pretty readily that way.

Hell I have a Human town that's mostly High Elven... no war required either.
