I move a stone each onto the glyphs for Fire, Shield, and Wave.
You move a boulder onto the Fire glyph, another onto the Wave glyph, and another onto the Shield glyph. A warm, constant humming happens in response, but nothing happens in the immediate vicinity of you.
Drink a potion to cure my broken hand, then grab the rod.
You take your potion out and chug it down, feeling your broken hand mend itself almost instantly. Throwing the empty bottle aside, you make another grab for the rod. It has lost it's chilling touch, and you safely store it in your inventory. As Dia grabs the opposite rod, you attempt to go past the barrier again and succeed!

You also make a grab for your rod, now able to grasp it without burning your hand off. Like Noah, you store it in your inventory and make your way past where the invisible barrier once stood.
Initiate battle with the monster, front row. Cast goblin punch on it.
You jump into battle with the sleeping monster and draw your fists back, unleashing a flurry of punches! (Accuracy 100% (Sleeping), 15 - 11 = 4 x [5] 1.8x = 7 final magic damage!) You begin shouting 'ATATATATATATATATATATA' at the top of your voice, pounding the scales with your mighty blows! This has the unfortunate side effect of waking the monster up. Hrm.

[4] (100% Accuracy) While Ochi beats the monster down with his BEAR HANDS, you raise your staff into the air. A black orb forms at the end of your stick and slams into the creature, causing the image of a clock to appear over it. The clock begins slowing down more and more, then disappears.
Basilisk - The Basilisk roars in Ochita's face and prepares to
CLAW HIS FACE OFF. [95% Accuracy, hit! 19 - 12 x 1.5 (Critical hit!) = 10 damage!) Oh dear. Our Blue Mage takes a rather nasty scratch to the face, flying backwards towards the rock wall and slamming into it, his face now cut by 3 rather nasty looking, bleeding slices. If it left a scar though, you'd look like one hell of a badass.
