Yeah, give Nirur the potion, I was going to keep it if I was by myself, but he needs it more. So I go down the middle, presumably with the black mage.

I know Darvi hasn't posted yet, but I'm going to assume he's going to go with the plan and move with Ochita. If he has a problem with this, I'll retcon it away, I promise! I just wanted to get this turn out before I fell asleep.

Then listen to Ochita's plan and suggest to Dia we try the left hand path.

Go with Noah down the left hand path.

[6]You both head towards the westernmost pathway. You can't see very far ahead of you, but it seems like this tunnel goes downwards in a sort of oval, rather like a stretched out spiral stairway. You walk downwards for what must be a good 10 minutes, emerging into a torch-lit chamber with a tall ceiling shrouded in darkness. The far end of the room, however, is obscured in darkness. You can spot a chest a decent ways away.

[3] Noah thinks he can spot something vaguely glowing and floating on the far end of the room, but he can't make it out. Attempts to move in closer result in you walking smack dab into what seems to be an invisible barrier. This barrier is also conveniently stopping you from accessing the chest. This'll take some problem solving...Maybe something around the room could help you?

Yeah, give Nirur the potion, I was going to keep it if I was by myself, but he needs it more. So I go down the middle, presumably with the black mage.

[4] Tossing your Potion to your friendly neighborhood meatshield, you and Wymar head down the middle passage. It seems relatively flat, and incredibly dark. After walking for a while, you can't see anything behind nor in front of you. Feeling along the walls, you can surmise you just entered a decently sized room. A very very dark room.

I head off down the right side path, with or without that handy potion. If I get it, I thank Ochi.

[3] You take the potion and head off along the eastern path alone. This one apparently goes upwards. You follow it for a while, eventually emerging into a rather large, dark room, illuminated by just a few torches held up on brackets, giving just enough light to see by. The most glaring feature is a massive rectangular hole in the center of the room.

[3] Arranged around the rectangular hole, inset into the floor, are various glyphs with strange symbols on them. One appears to look like a diamond crystal, another like a shield. You can't decipher the rest. You attempt to lean over the hole carefully, your knee touching an unknown glyph while you do so causing it to light up. Far, far, far downwards, you can faintly spot light and two figures shuffling around. Moving away from the hole and removing your knee from the glyph, it ceases emitting light and fades back into darkness.

"Damn it." I punch the invisible wall in frustration and look around. I also keep a hand on the barrier and head left, trying to see where it ends or begins to curve around.

I first yell down the hole, then I touch each glyph in turn, for about ten seconds each.

"THAT YOU, OCHI?!!!!! OR IS IT DIA?!!!!! MAGIC GLYPHS ARE UP HERE!!!!! SHOUT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS!!!!!"

(I dont think so..)
Assume that the mage is going to cast fire, and look for something like a torch.

(If it's any of us, it's me and SeriousConcentrate. Your room is very dark, while ours is lit by torches, and has a high ceiling.)

Search the room for anything that could dispell the a barrier.

"Damn it." I punch the invisible wall in frustration and look around. I also keep a hand on the barrier and head left, trying to see where it ends or begins to curve around.

[1] You punch the invisible wall with your right hand. FFFFFFFFUUUUUUU- You break your right hand on the wall. (-4 HP)

[5] Using your LEFT hand, you follow the wall and head left. It seems to be completely flat and stops at the cave wall. You notice that where the cave wall meets the invisible wall, there seems to be a rod of some sort lodged into the stone. You can touch the side of it, and it feels incredibly cold to the touch. A shout comes up from the ceiling sounding like Nirur, you answer back with a confirming shout.

Search the room for anything that could dispell the a barrier.

[6] Heading along the other end of the invisible wall, you find a similar looking rod like the one Noah found. Unlike the other one, this one is incredibly hot to the touch, making it almost impossible to touch it without burning yourself. You both get the feeling these are somehow linked to the barrier.

Assume that the mage is going to cast fire, and look for something like a torch.

[4] Naturally, you feel around the dark wall and find an unlit torch, holding it out to Wymar. It's subsequently lit up by a Fire spell, lighting up the room.

Igne, fiat Lux.

[4] (-3 MP) "LET THERE BE LIGHT!" You conjure a flame with your staff, lighting up the torch and the room you're in. The room itself has nothing of note except for three things: Two bright red chests on the far end of the room, signifying you found a treasure trove...And a giant, gray, four-legged creature sleeping in front of them. This could cause problems.

I first yell down the hole, then I touch each glyph in turn, for about ten seconds each.

Yelling down the hole, you hear your companions shouting back up to you, confirming that your Thief and White Mage companions are down there.

[4] You begin slowly going around each glyph, pressing down on them with your foot for about ten seconds each. Nothing seems to happen if only one glyph is lit up at a time. You examine the gylphs more closely.

In addition to the Crystal and Shield glyphs you've seen earlier, another glyph looks like a snowflake, and another one like a raging fire. The glyph for ice is on the left of the shield glyph and the flame glyph is on the right. Upon further inspection, you can find another glyph with a lightning bolt inscribed on it, and another with an ocean wave.

[5] Examining the room, you can see a few decently sized boulders laying in a corner. They look rather heavy, but easily movable for you. Now I wonder what you could do with these...

Looks to be four elements and two modifiers. I'll just randomly drag rocks to one modifier and two elements.

I move a stone each onto the glyphs for Fire, Shield, and Wave.

"DID THAT DO ANYTHING?!!!!!"

I'd go with snowflake instead of the wave, since one of the rods is too cold to touch. The glyphs and rods are probably related.

Yell up to Nirur to mess around with any glyphs that seem related to hot and cold, and then grab the rod after he does so.

(I'm trying to shield the fire rod with fire's opposing force, water. Multiple attempts per turn would likely result in getting mixed up over the effects, or I'd try several combinations.)

Hmm. That could work.

Scratch my last post, just grab the rod after I hear Nirur's shout.

Drink a potion to cure my broken hand, then grab the rod.
