It also occurs to me you could integrate it into the leveling system, like we can only set 3-4 conditions at the beginning but every X levels we can set another condition so our strategies can get more complex. :3

I'm good for another 3 battles. During those, heal whenever a party member is down 10 HP. Don't want to waste too much MP and have to use my Ethers before I need to.

 (I am sparing you guys all the math) If my math is right, all the Goblins will die in 1 turn if both Nirur and Ochita attacking them due to their combined damage being exactly 15. Using a delicious dice roll, the first battle has one goblin, the second battle has three goblins, and the third has one again.

Serious/Noah uses Steal in the first battle, stealing...[5] a Chocobo Feather? Well this could come in handy. The Goblin dies after both Ochita and Nurir attack it, earning the entire party 15 EXP, 10 AP, and 14 Gil.

The second battle, Noah starts with Mug, attacking a Goblin and stealing [4] another 12 Gil. Ochita finishes it off, and Nirur attacks another Goblin dealing 9 damage. Darvi attempts to use his Hadouken but just finishes off the wounded goblin with Aero. Dia does noting yet. The Goblin attacks [3], dealing a paltry 1 damage. It's easily finished off next turn, earning the party 45 EXP, 30 AP, and 42 Gil.

The final battle, everyone just beats it up and it dies before it can do anything, giving the entire party 15 EXP, 10 AP, and 14 Gil. The entire party has earned a total of 75 EXP, 50 AP, and 70 Gil, resulting in a level up for everyone except Darvi/Wymar.

During this entire thing, our Blue Mage still has not learned Goblin Punch.

Forward Unto Tomorrow

You finally get enough balls to enter the cave now that you've leveled up and obtained a Chocobo Feather. Once you enter the cave, the passage seals up behind you, leaving it pitch black. An echoing laughter rings around the party, signifying the arrival of a first boss who thinks he's overpowered.

A ring of flames comes to life around the party, showing you're in the middle of the cave despite the fact you were just at the entrance. You do not question this. But apparently something drops in from the ceiling. It's time for a BOSS BATTLE, baby!

Krath already noted that we get to keep our old skill sets. That might mean you can continue to learn blue magic, even after you class change. ^^ Also, speaking of class changing... I may be planning too far in advance but I'm curious about the Gambler upgrade. Will it be like a corsair or like lady luck? I'm pretty sure I know the ninja's deal (thief + moar attack/speed & some ninjutsu tricks, maybe Throw if we're going Edward Geraldine style) but the bard. Is that like Edward in FF4 or the more useful ones in FF Tactics? Because if it's the latter then that means I have a tough decision on my hands later on. :3
