How fast are dwarves normally?

I'm thinking of creating some different castes of dwarves.  One's got a penalty to how fast they learn, but has a speed boost.  What's the normall SPEED:# for dwarves?  Or should I just set them with higher agility ranges?

Dwarves are 900 speed.

Also, lower number = faster.

So my titanic turtle megabeast has a speed value of 10k.
