How are we supposed to join an empire if we have to be in game to get to the communications?

The character creator is massively exploitable. You can make species with every attribute maxed and over 1800 HP (if you don't take flying or jumping). Of course, there are downsides to getting ludicrous HP, so you probably don't want to.
Really? It used to be hard-capped.

When Haxus buggified the character file loading he made it more exploitable than before.

Have you trind pressing anything, like continue or increasing a stat? Nothing happens. It just gets reset so it corresponds to the points spent

I have a saved creature that loads in just fine but whenever anything is changed re-calculates and morphs into something else. Funny thing is, it was made in the same version and not tampered with. I think the file might be corrupted/loading broken.

EDIT: Switched to Kreejn (Nirur Torir?)'s empire, the one I was in seems broken

Woah, the planet I spawned on has a ring, it also looks like I'm in a binary system. Nice.

Seems like we're going for more of a federation kind of thing than one single empire. Not sure.

Anyway, here's a nice view:

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Anyone here with an empire with decent tech? I'm not feeling up to climbing up the damned techs again.

I used to play this a lot, then I'd get stuck and start another empire and so on. The lag, however, eventually made me stop playing.

It's an amazing game, with amazing scope, but the servers have always sucked major ass. If only there was a way to play it offline.

Lag seems to be a lot better so far, at least for me. I mean, it's still worse than say, WoW, but not nearly as bad as it was a year ago.

Then I'll wait some more with trying this...

Started it up and it lags like I was using a Baud modem and a pentium 1, unless this is deliberate for some weird testing reason, this is probably the worst netcode I have ever come across.

I'm not getting any lag at all...

Also, their system generator needs some tweaking. My home planet has a moon orbiting it at a distance that should be impossible, as it would be ripped out of its orbit by the nearby gas giant. It's about equidistant from either planet when it's on that side.
