Retirement: Bliss or Bust?
« on: April 16, 2011, 09:38:40 pm »

So, I was listening to the radio, and I heard an interesting bit on Allen's show. He was talking about retirement. More exactly: How he thought it wouldn't be the Bermuda shorts, 4 days of golfing, umbrella-in-a pina colada that the world makes it out to be.

So what do you think about retirement? Bliss, or bust?

Both, actually, judging from my Grandpa. He really doesn't have anything to do all day, but then again, he doesn't have anything to do with his free time. After working for 50-odd years, it was pretty jarring for him to just stop, as I can imagine.

When I retire, I plan to try to do everything I've wanted to do but couldn't get to because of my responsabilites. When I near my death, assuming that humanity has not created a form of immortality in that time frame, I'm going to do the same except without caring about what the law thinks of it. I mean, I'll be dead soon anyway, what could they possibly take from me?
