Plugging it because I like it, she's probably the least well known artist I know of, and I only found out about her because she was on before Wardruna when I went to see them in Manchester earlier this year.

Oh fuck yes, I only recently discovered the wonder of dungeon synth (and it's numerous permutations) and I've been loving the vibe ever since. I then went to share it with a good friend of mine and he just went "Well yeah, it's good stuff, I've been listening to it for years" to which my only reply was "Fuck you for never telling me then"

So far my favorite has to be Fief and pretty much anything they've done, some really really great medieval tunes to be found there.

As far as my musical contributions go, uh, here's Korn X Taylor Swift, a mashup of two artists I don't particularly care for that manages to be so much more than the sum of its parts. Like, holy shit, this has no right being this good and I can't quite place just why I find it so appealing.

I'm a little teeny tiny bit enamored with Bent Knee right now, particularly with their Land Animal album- here's the title track for example, or Insides In. Just absolutely stunning vocals that wrench the heart and cuts like a knife. Some of their other albums are a little bit incomprehensible to me but still leave me feeling a little harrowed- EVE, for example, has me feeling stuff and wondering, but even with the lyrics, it's just a feverish ache that I can't quite grok.

Just got to listen to some tracks from several upcoming albums/tapes of two black metal projects of a friend. Sounding really good and brutal. Reminds me a lot of late 90s BM, but with some atmospheric post-rockish parts. Can't wait to hear the full albums.

Old dungeon synth has a striking resemblance to video game music from the 80s/90s. I'm pretty sure that's one of the main reasons I've been liking it. (Edit. Wouldn't be surprised if some 90s albums have been made with Fast Tracker or Impulse Tracker. The sound is very similar to tracker stuff.)

I usually don't like more "modern" albums (mainly because of higher production values/better sound quality), but there's always exceptions to the rule.
