Haven't been listening to music in a while, but after a friend recommended, I listened to Darkthrone's newest album "Eternal Hails......"

I was actually surprised how good it sounded. Sounds sort of like Amebix meets Motörhead in the turn of the 70's & 80's with a good measure of d-beat in the mix. This could very well end up being my favourite Darkthrone album along Transilvanian Hunger (and a couple of others from the 90s).

Can we interest you in everything, all of the time?

It's quite the bop this one, especially the disney villain undertones.

Edit:

Ok, all eyes on me is even better. How does one make such an easily listenable song that's also so goddamn dark :V

Not only is Dead Can Dance still touring, but they're doing so with Agnes Obel apparently - in DC (relatively close to me) in October.

Thanks Google, it was still kinda confusing why it was advertising Dead Can Dance under this video.  Gosh, making a trip to listen to music in an enclosed area.  What is this, the before-times?  Damn if I'm not tempted though.

I don't always like miracleofsound's compositions, but this one was excellent.
Yeah wait hold on, I finally actually payed attention to the lyrics and this guy's a total monster haha
Like that almost seems like the point??  He keeps doing acts of brutality (especially to dogs??) because he's fated for glory?

Obviously ancient heroes were brutal, different time and all, but this guy's just a dick!

Finally hunted down what PiSK and co. was covering with Horny.

... ngl, though, it might just be the more developed processing techniques or somethin', but I like the PiSK/Nastazya cover quite a bit more than the original Mousse T/Inaya Day version. It ain't bad, by any means, but... it just ain't got the same kick, y'know? Vocals might be a bit flatter? I'unno. Inflections are definitely different in places. Think PiSK mostly replaces the weird bubble thing in the original with like dirty horn or whatever that is.

Weirdest thing about it is the original seems to have came out in '98 and I just... wasn't aware of it, when it's something 1998 Frumple probably should have encountered. Never heard the original before today, though.

E: Also I clearly need to catch up on the xylophone sceneyes i know that's actually a marimba+other stuff shush

Between the Buried and Me - Sun of Nothing

Entire album is a wonderful cacophony of weird styles and genres violently mashed with fairly aggressive metal that fits my current mood fairly well. This song in particular hits the sweet spot I think.
