I start wondering why the fuck would such a random thing occur, then I remember there's a pretty good song by Stribog that's called Rusalka. Do note that the lyrics are in croatian, tho I'd say it's more the whole atmosphere of the thing that's important than the specific vocals.

Aww, thanks dude! I'll give your suggestions a listen in a bit (even if they sound kinda scene for my tastes), but right now here's this wonderful album I wanted to share earlier: All Them Witches - Lightning At the Door.
Wonderful psychedelic rock, blues, alternative, surf... honestly I'm not really sure what to classify it as, but overall it's kinda doomy I guess - but not enough to appeal only to doomheads! Seriously I think a large percentage of folks would dig this band.   



Been listening to a lot of shit since then, but here's my current soundtrack: Swamp Lung - s/t. One of my favourite bands in Australia, if not the world. Absolutely stellar, creepy sludge/doom with enough variation between tracks to keep from getting stale as well as offering something for everyone. Yay.

Spoiled R0TT3N has really stuck in my craw lately. Kinda' wish it wasn't quite so chippy/harsh, but other than that it's addictively funky.

Also developed a lot more appreciation of caravan palace's We Can Dance. Like pretty much all their stuff it's great, but for some reason I had excised it from my older playlists. No longer, it's right up there with Dragons, Dramaphone, or Rock It For Me.

All Them Witches are indeed pretty spacey. I think the first tune of theirs I heard was elk.blood.heart.

But then you get the occasional track that departs from their usual shuffle-stepped trippiness, and end up with one of my favorite acoustic guitar instrumentals. Just... sitting there. Like it owns the place or something.
