EDIT: As an addition...
BRO! I am way the fuck into this song. gives me a very civil wars/band of skulls/decemberist vibe. definitely going on my "bluegrass but also some not" playlist. I also have some pretty similar problems with spoofy, mostly because i'm trying to build a party playlist with a likeable and vibeable sound and spotify's suggestions are all over the place.
my weekly suggestions:
a lot- 21 Savage, not so typical to the trap sound 21 usually goes for, with his stereotypical apparently british ass. J Cole has a just ok feature on this one, but the beat is the real star of this track, as it usually goes. Interesting music video too, kind of playing with how people present themselves at their best & worst.
Oh Wow- ROY PURDY, has some of the infectious wordplay that made me fall in love with his music in the first place. not much to say, just a solid as fuck rap song.
WOULD HAVE CAME BAAAAACK 4 U, I JUST NEEDED TIME~ TO DO WHAT I HAAAAAD TO DO, CAUGHT IN THE LIIIIIFE, IIIIII CAN'T LEEEEET IT GO, WHETHER THAT'S RIIIIIGHT, IIIIII WON'T EVEEEER KNO-O-OW; but here goes nothin', or Aston Martin Music - Rick Ross. It's a bit of a throwback, but it's nice to hear a song where someone shoves drake into the hook where he shines and lets another rapper take over the bars.
Dirty Work - Sam Padrul, filling my insatiable appetite for sexy baselines and catchy hooks. seriously, if you never click on anything in this thread click on this song right here, it's so fucking catchy i'm humming it RIGHT NOW.
Now that Kagus infected my brain with a searing enigma, i'm gonna have to be on the look for some new music to scratch that "sort of bluegrass sort of country sort of folk" itch.
e: you know what?? while i'm at it???
take some motherfucking layer cake too, listen to it & let some motherfuckers know you're in business today.
