do the same but let random.org decide the post number in this thread
so I rolled and got 4989702 which takes me to page 199, http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=82547.msg4989702#msg4989702 and the first link there is this:
So there's this local folk-pop band, Wild Child, that's supposedly getting popular, according to my local newspapers, which totally wouldn't be biased.
so that works
Whoah jeez, this stuff is actually really good! The first song is giving me chills. O_O
On that note, I feel like I should contribute some music in here.
I'm not sure what this "filk" stuff is that everyone goes on about, but here's some beautiful folk:
Griya - As a Child.
Well, the first track is very folk-y. The second track has some jazz/cabaret stuff going on, not really sure how to describe it but it's delightful. Here's some bright, bombastic rock 'n' soul (that's the band's own description, but it's the only one that does 'em justice):
The Sugarcanes - The Sugarcanes.
This stuff's sure to glue a silly smile on your face and make you feel like throwing on some old-fashioned clothes and dancing.
This stuff is... alt-rock mixed with indie pop, I guess? I only really like one song from these guys that I've heard so far, so I'll just link that:
The Ocean Party - Cool Boys.
I'm sure there are some other decent songs on the album, but this is the only one I feel inspired to share.
Here's some pop-punk from my home city:
Columbus - Raindrop.
This one's a music video, for a change. Don't say I never give you nothin'. These guys are pretty great. I'm kinda bummed I missed their album launch.
