Spirit Phone. Neil Cicierega is still making snazzy tunes, and this album is pretty much the snazziest yet.

I adore all this well-wrought weirdness. The sounds are all retro-modern and variously horror or thriller inspired. Lifetime Achievement Award is like... a huge pan-music spooky Synth-Metal fusion that I can't really describe well? And it gets better.

So, this isin't the music that most of people around listen to (or even I) ,proably,  but I just love how the lyrics are better than a lot of sci-fi novels.
Point still stands.

A lever-operated, marble-based instrument with some minimal room for improvisation?

Based god, wish I knew ye earlier, Wintergatan.

Oh jeez. I saw something reminiscent of this in CGI as a sort of music video back in the 2000s... but it's real!

This is a pretty fantastic music-making contraption, and I'm really glad you shared it. Their other music is pretty great too. Woooooow.

Shortly I will set off to go see these guys.
And some other excellent bands too, of course, but honestly they're the band I'm most excited for.

Listening to that album now as I hype myself up.
